When you purchase "processed food" that is food like "Kraft macaroni and cheese" !.and all the other foods in a box or can that you add water to or just heat and eat!.!.!.they have all been changed with different chemicals cooked and dried for easy prep and eating!.!.!.anything you read on the side of the can or box that is a mile long!.!.you can be sure it's a chemical!.!.!.!.these foods are fine in a emergency to have on hand but for everyday eating I'd cook from scratch!.!.!.what you put in your body will affect you down the road as you age!.!.!.!.!.
Macaroni and Cheese
Make a cheese sauce that you pour over the cooked elbow macaroni!.!.!.!.!.then bake in a buttered dish you can top it with buttered bread crumbs that really tastes great that way!.!.!.
Here is a recipe I use !.!.!.it's so easy give it a try
1 1/2 cups grated mild or sharp cheddar cheese or a mixture of cheeses American, Colby , Monterey jack,
2 cups milk!.!.!.!.(!.I use 1 can non fat pet or carnation evaporated milk along with the regular milk!. it makes it have a richer taste!.)
4 tablespoons butter or margarine
4 tablespoon all purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon Coleman's dry mustard powder!.!.!.!.(not the Chinese type) or you will burn your mouth if you don't have it don't worry it will still be good!.!.!.!.
dash of hot sauce !.!.just a drop or two like Tabasco go easy with this it really adds something to cheese dishes
On low to medium heat melt the butter in the bottom of large boiler pot!.!.!.!.then mix in the flour!.!.it will become paste!.STIR STIR STIR!.!.!.then add the milk, salt and mustard powder!.!.!.!.!.keep stirring with whisk!. or wooden spoon!.!.now add the cheese and keep stirring until it becomes very smooth and thickens (keep the heat on med!. to low so it does not burn on the bottom while making)!.!.!.!.remove from the heat !.!.!.!.set aside!.!.!.
Now read the instructions on the pasta bag or box!.!.!.boil the elbow macaroni as directed and drain!.!.!.then add to the cheese sauce and pour into buttered casserole dish!.!.!.!.
Next!.!.!.take few pieces of bread and make into breadcrumbs and moisten with melted butter!.!.top the macaroni and cheese with the crumbs and bake in 350 degree oven until golden brown about 25 to thirty minutes!.
When you eat something that has good ingredients in it it makes you feel good inside and especially if you are feeding it to your family!. Another thing is that you cook it once and usually you have enough left for a couple meals!.!.!.!.the box stuff is usually just enough for 1 person!.!.!.

yes its unhealthy because it is high in calories, fat and sodium!.
I think the cheese powder is not real!. I make my own mac n cheese with elbow macaroni milk butter flour cheddar cheese its based off of martha stewarts recipe but I changed it a little!.

It's fine!. It's real cheese!. I don't know how they make it into powder, but it's not unhealthy and it is delicious and I know that kids and babies eat it up!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
