Answers:
it is VERY easy, and simple
You will need:
a deep pan, like a skillet where you cook steaks or something, cast iron is preffered
Butter(YES, butter!) about 3 TBsp
1/4-1/2 cup flour
1 can of chicken BROTH (swansons is the best flavored I've found, and makes the best tasting)
pepper
garlic powder, NOT GARLIC SALT! that would make it soooo salty
Take the butter, melt it in the pan!.!.!.!.
water OR milk to thin out
add in the flour slowly, stirring everything until it makes a nice, thick roux!.!.!.!.
ok!?
Now, slowly ad the broth, stirring until everything is totally incorporated, and the slurry is bubbling!.!.!.!.watch and stir
ok, now, when it starts to get thick, ad some of the water or milk to thin it out, keep cooking it slowly, do NOT try and rush this!.!.!.!.
it's well worth it
while you stir, ad a few shakes of pepper and garlic, this will ad flavor!.
Now keep on stirring, and tasting, after about,oh,8 (sometimes more)minutes it will thicken, taste it and see if it has lost the 'flour-y' taste!. it should be smoothe and rich and!.!.!.!.!.!.!.just PERFECT to put on your noodles!.
I am the designated gravy maker in my family, so I know it's good!
