first I went strawberry picking with my grandma, mom, and sisters, then we washed and hulled the berries, 600 something pounds, yes, six hundred something, used pectin we bought ahead of time for making jam, cooked berries with sugar and pectin according to recipes on pectin, put into sterile canning jars and put lids that were soaking in hot water on and did not twist rings tightly because that would break the seal of the lid under it!. The ring on the canning lid is basically for after you open it so you can reclose it, it should seal without the ring originally!.
Buy your pectin in the grocery store and it will have the recipe for amounts!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
