Question: What kind of ingredients do you put in your western omelettes!?
I put tons of things in mine, such as eggs, or course, garlic powder, salt, pepper, parsley flakes, onions, peppers, milk, tomatoes, etc!. So what do you put in yours!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Western omlettes are all about spicing it up Tex Mex style!.!.!.green peppers, onions, pepper, garlic, tomatos!.!.!.maybe even top it off with some salsa!.!.!.or if you're really daring, steak sauce!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I don't make western omelettes, but if I did I would include onions, mushrooms, bell peppers, a sprinkling of salsa, tomato, and garlic!.

For meats I would use finely cubed ham, bacon crumble, and possibly some browned ground beef!.

I don't use powdered seasoning, including pepper and salt, but I might make an exception and use a dash of lemon pepper!.

I think an interesting touch would be to wrap the omelette in a flour tortilla or burrito wrap!. Folks on a low carb diet might want to skip this!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

WESTERN OMELET

1 tbsp!. butter
4 eggs
4 tbsp!. water
1/2 tsp!. salt
1/8 tsp!. pepper
Chopped green peppers
Chopped cooked ham
Grated cheddar cheese
Chopped tomato

No more than 1/2 cup total of all ingredients!.
In 9 inch microwave dish melt butter on high for 30 seconds!. Combine eggs, water and salt with butter!. Beat with fork lightly!. Cover with waxed paper!. Cook on roast setting (70%) for 3 minutes!. Stir lightly!. Recover and bake (60%) for 1 1/2 to 2 minutes until almost set in center!. Let stand covered for 1 to 2 minutes!. Place green peppers, ham, cheese and tomato on one half!. Fold other half over and serve!.


WESTERN OMELET

8 eggs, beaten with 1/4 c!. milk
1/4 c!. onion, chopped
1/4 c!. green pepper, chopped
Salt & pepper to taste
1/2 c!. grated cheese

Saute onion and pepper in 2 tablespoons butter!. Add eggs and remaining ingredients!. Scramble until done!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I don't like much prep work, so I buy stuff ready to go!. Besides the eggs and the milk (or half and half when I'm feeling rambunctious), I use the onions and celery you buy already cut up, the ham you buy already diced, the mushrooms you buy already sliced, the peppers you buy already diced and the cheese you buy already shredded!.

Yeah, it's an expensive omelet, but I work all day, live with my dad who doesn't cook and if I bought all those things whole, we'd eventually just throw them out!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Eggs, Green Peppers, Ham, Monterrey Jack and, Cheddar Cheese, Jalapenos, Freshly Ground Black Pepper, Salt, Red Onions, Cilantro and, Rotel Tomatoes!. Topped off with TABASCO Sauce!.

I cut in pieces of ham,onions,green pepper,tomato,place them in the pan warming all ingredients then at least (3) eggs,sometimes a slice of cheddar or Swiss cheese over the omelette, a little salt & pepper with two slice of bread and a nice cold glass of orange juice!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
