How do I store a buttercream iced fondant covered cake for 3 days?!


Question: How do I store a buttercream iced fondant covered cake for 3 days!?
My neice's first bday is May 24th, I decided to make her a 5 peice baby einstein caterpiller cake covered with Fondant!. However, I have a trip planned on the 22nd!. So I wont be able to make it to her bday!. How do I store this fondant covered cake, and will it be fresh by then!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Fondant lasts forever, it seems!. If it's just gonna be three days, I'd just make sure it is covered well and put it in the fridge!. Should be fine!. Make sure, though, if it is chocolate cake that it is well sealed, otherwise the chocolate will pick up the odors (and, in turn, tastes) of your refrigerator!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Fondant lasts well!.!.!. I think I would put it in the freezer!.!.!. then have them take it out about 3 or 4 hours before the party and let it thaw!. Cover it well!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
