Most biscuit recipes do not call for eggs!. Generally eggs are needed for short-breads, scones, cakes and such!. There are several very good recipes listed!. It has been my experience that buttermilk works better, and makes flakier biscuits than regular (or sweet milk as it is referred to in the South)!. If you do not have buttermilk simply add 1 tablespoon of cider vinegar to one cup of regular milk!. also handle your dough as little as possible!. Good luck!Www@FoodAQ@Com

take flour (i use self rising) and shortening (like crisco)and milk and make drop biscuits!.!.!.

depending how many biscuits you want to cook but i use about 2 cups flour and cut about 1/2 cup crisco in the flour with my hands (it will be sort of crumble like texture)!.!.!.!.don't over mix it though!.!.!.it needs to look lumpy!.!.!.add just enough milk (or better yet buttermilk if you have it) to moisten the mixture!.!.!.!.!.you can sprinkle a surface really good with flour and knead the dough out and roll and cut biscuits or you can just drop them by the spoon on a lightly greased sheet pan!.!.!.

bake at 450 preheat oven until golden brown

oh yeah!.!.!.if your flour is all purpose you will need to add baking powder to make them rise!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
