Things to cook in my deep fryer?!
So, I recently bought my second deep fryer and have cooked the regular things in it!.!.i've made chicken tenders, taco salad (well the shell) motz sticks, funnel cake,!.!.and maybe a few more!.!.but I'm interested in other things I could cook in it!? I know the possabilities are endless!.!.i just need some suggestions and/or recepies!.

Crispy Chicken Nuggets

vegetable oil for frying
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup flour
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon oregano
1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
2 1/2 pounds chicken breasts -- skinless
1 inch piece
1!. In a large frying pan or deep fat fryer, heat 1 inch of oil to 350F!.
2!. Meanwhile, put milk in a bowl!. In a paper bag, mix together flour, parmesan cheese, paprika, oregano, and mustard!. First dip chicken pieces in milk, then place about a dozen pieces of chicken at a time in a gab and shake to coat!.
3!. Fry chicken in hot oil in batches without crowding, turning occasionally for about 5 minutes, until crisp and golden brown!. Drain on paper towels!. Serve hot!.
Onion Straws
4 to 6 servings
2 cups vegetable oil
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
2/3 cup cold water
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 teaspoon ground red pepper
1 teaspoon salt
3 large Vidalia or other sweet onions, cut in half and thinly sliced
Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat until hot but not smoking!.
In a medium bowl, combine the flour, water, baking soda, pepper, and salt
until a batter forms!. Add the onions and stir to coat!. Drop in small
batches into the oil and fry for 1 to 2 minutes, or until golden, allowing
the oil to heat back up between batches!. Drain on a paper towel-lined
platter and serve hot!.
HUSH PUPPIES I
Yield: 18 Servings
1/2 c Sifted flour
1 Onion, minced
1 Egg
1 ts Sugar
1 c Corn meal
1 1/2 ts Baking powder
1 ts Salt
Milk
Mix all ingredients with just enough milk to moisten dough to a
stiff consistency, but soft enough to spoon!. Dip with tbl!. spoon and
drop into hot fat!. Cook until golden brown!. If you need more, double

Mini Elephant Ears -
Frozen white dinner roll dough (10 rolls)
Cooking oil for deep-fat frying
1/2 cup sugar
1 tbsp ground cinnamon
3 tbsp butter or margarine, melted
Thaw dough at room temperature for about 2 hours!. Heat oil in an electric skillet or deep-fat fryer to 375!. Combine sugar and cinnamon; set aside!. Stretch each piece of dough into a flat ear shape!. Fry, a few at a time, for 1 1/2 minutes per side or until browned!. Drain on paper towels!. Brush with butter and spinkle with cinnamon-sugar!.
Mozzarella Sticks
1 pound mozzarella sticks (string cheese) or brick mozzarella
2 eggs, beaten
1/4 cup water
1 1/2 cups Italian bread crumbss
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
2/3 cup flour
1/3 cup cornstarch
Vegetable oil (for deep frying)
If using brick-form mozzarella, cut the cheese into finger-size sticks!.
Beat the eggs with water and set aside!.
Mix bread crumbs, garlic salt and Italian seasoning and set aside!.
Blend flour with cornstarch and set aside!.
Heat vegetable oil to 360 degrees F!.
Dip cheese in flour, then in egg wash and then coat with bread crumbs!. Place carefully in hot oil and fry until golden!. This takes just a few seconds so watch carefully!. When golden, remove from hot oil and drain!.
Serve with favorite spaghetti sauce
BREADED SCALLOPS
Yield: 4 Servings

32 Bay scallops OR 16 ocean
Salt and pepper
Flour for dredging
1 lg Egg, lightly beaten
1 1/2 c Breadcrumbs, to 2c
Oil for deep frying
Lemon wedges, garnish
If using bay scallops, leave whole!. Ocean scallops cut in half!. Season
scallops with salt and pepper!. Dredge in flour and coat with egg!.
Dredge in breadcrumbs!. Deep fry 2-3 mins!. Garnish with lemon!.
Long John Silver's Batter
2/3 cup club soda
1/3 cup lemon juice
1 egg
1/2 cup Bisquick
1/2 cup self-rising flour
Beat all ingredients together until smooth; let stand 10 minutes!.
Heat oil to 385 degrees F!.
In small bowl put 1/2 cup club soda, in another 1/2 cup self-rising flour!. Dip fish first into soda, then into flour!. Set fish on cookie sheet till all the fish has been coated; let dry a few minutes!.
Dip fish in batter, let excess drip off; and deep fry 3 or 4 minutes per side!. Shrimp can be done the same way if peeled and deveined first!.
DEEP FRIED MOZZARELLA SANDWICHES
8 slices of bread
4 slices of Mozzarella cheese
Flour
1 egg
Oil
Remove crust from bread!. Make four sandwiches with cheese and coat lightly and evenly with flour!. Beat the egg in shallow dish!. Dip the sandwiches so the sides and edges are all coated!. Heat oil in deep fryer to 360 degrees!. Deep fry the sandwiches until they are golden brown!. Drain on paper towel and serve hot with salad!.

4 to 6 servings
Batter:
1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour , divided
2 tablespoons cornstarch
3/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 cup milk

CRISCO Shortening for deep frying
Vegetables:
Choose any combination of the following:
1/4 inch slices zucchini , trimmed green beans, large mushrooms
1/8 inch slices carrot
1/8 inch slices sweet potato
1/2 inch strips green or red bell pepper
Combine 1 cup flour, cornstarch, baking powder, salt, pepper, milk, and egg in medium bowl!. Stir until smooth!. Refrigerate 30 minutes!.
Heat 2 or 3 inches Crisco to 365oF in deep fryer or deep saucepan!. Heat oven to 200oF!.
Place 1/ 2 cup flour in paper or plastic bag!. Add vegetables a few at a time!. Shake to coat!. Shake off excess flour!.
Dip vegetables, a few at a time, in batter!. Let excess drip off!. Fry in shortening heated to 365oF!. Fry 3 or 4 minutes or until golden brown!. Turn as needed for even browning!. Drain on paper towels!.
Place fried vegetables on heatproof plate, or pan in 200oF oven to keep warm until all vegetables are fried!. Sprinkle lightly with salt!. Serve immediately!.

Makes 6 dozen
1 medium onion, grated
1 medium raw potato, pared and grated
1-1/2 pounds raw shrimp, shelled, deveined, and finely chopped
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 egg, slightly beaten
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon curry powder (optional)
CRISCO Shortening for deep frying
Combine onion, potato, and shrimp in a large bowl!.
Stir in flour, egg, salt, pepper, and if desired, curry powder!.
Heat Crisco to 365oF in a deep saucepan or deep fryer!.
Drop batter by rounded measuring teaspoonfuls into hot Crisco!. Fry 6 at a time for 3 minutes or until golden brown!.
Drain on paper towels!. Serve hot with cocktail sauce!.

3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup cornstarch
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup water
6 pork chops
2 cups bread crumbs, dry-fine
Remove basket from Deep Fryer before preheating!. Preheat oil to 350o F!. Combine first 5 ingredients until smooth!. Dip chops in batter and coat thoroughly!. Then coat with bread crumbs!. Place basket in oil!. Use a heat-resistant metal spoon to place chops in oil!. Cook 8 to 10 minutes or until done!.
Serves 6!.

4 (4- to 5-ounces each) split chicken breasts, boneless, skinless
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1-1/2 tablespoons cornstarch
2 teaspoons Lemon & Herb seasoning
1 teaspoon baking powder
6 tablespoons milk
1 large egg
1/2 cup seasoned dry bread crumbs
2 tablespoons parmesan cheese, grated
Preheat oil to 350° F!. in Deep Fryer!. Rinse chicken and trim fat; pat dry!. Combine flour, cornstarch, seasoning and baking powder in a shallow bowl!. Stir until mixed!. Stir milk and egg into flour mixture!. Measure bread crumbs and cheese into a flat dish; stir until mixed!. Place chicken pieces in milk mixture!. Allow pieces to stand 5 to 10 minutes, turning over once, then set each piece in crumb mixture, turning to coat evenly!. Set each piece on a plate and repeat process until all are breaded!. Raise basket!. Open lid; place all four pieces in basket!. Close lid; lower basket!. Fry 5-1/2 to 7 minutes or until breading is golden brown and internal temperature of each chicken piece reaches 160° F!. on meat thermometer!. Raise basket!. Open lid; with tongs remove chicken pieces to cooling rack set over paper towel!. Check internal temperature; if necessary, deep fry longer!. Serve immediately!.
Serves 4!.
Deep Fried Chimichangas
Due to the nature of this recipe, adjust number of servings in multiples of 6 only!.
Vegetable oil
2 pounds ground beef
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
6 10" flour tortillas, warm
6 or more toothpicks
1/2 cup sour cream
1 cup lettuce, shredded
1 avocado, peeled and sliced
1 cup guacamole
1 cup salsa
Heat oil to 375°F!. in Deep Fryer!. Fry ground beef in skillet over medium high heat 7 to 8 minutes, stir frequently to break up meat!. Cool slightly before adding cheese!. Fold over bottom third of each tortilla to make a pocket!. Spread 1/3 cup meat mixture in pocket!. Fold up from bottom once, then fold in sides of tortilla!. Continue rolling until it makes a cylinder!. Secure with toothpicks!. Fry 3 or 4 at a time, 8 to 10 minutes, until browned!. Drain on absorbent paper!. Remove toothpicks and serve with remaining ingredients!.
Serves 6!.

doughnuts, zeppolies, oh I have this friend and her mom owns those traveling snack trucks with the funnel cakes and everything and she makes fried oreos I cant bring myself to est of just by the sound of it I can feel my thighs get fatter (lol) but my fiance says that they are really good!. You can makes fried chicken (of your own too) With an egg and flour batter and the chicken they sel in the store on the bone!. I am sure there are a million other things you can make!. I am sure if you google search fryer recipies or something like that that you could find an endless amount of things to do with a fryer!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
How about veggies!? You could fry broccoli, zucchini, cauliflower and serve with a nice dip!. Of course you need to batter them first!. I also love fried seafood - oysters!. Most people don't think to fry them and the are delicious and taste sweeter than clams!. Have fun with your fryer!. The possibilities are endless!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Try this:
Put chunks of cheese (whatever kind you want - I like pepper jack) inside won-ton wrappers, roll the wrappers closed, seal with water, and fry!. Just make sure you close them tightly, or the cheese will ooze out!. I've found the best way is to wrap it like an egg roll!. Delicious!Www@FoodAQ@Com
