Edible ingredients that "errupt"?!

Question: Edible ingredients that "errupt"!?
I'm looking to create a dessert that contains a raspberry sauce that when lit on fire will errupt out of the concave area that it will be poured into!. The fire should also go out immediately!. I need to find some sort of ingredient to add to the sauce that will cause this effect with as little foaming as possible and is completely safe to eat both before and after it is lit!.

Does anyone knoww what I can use!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

oooh!!! Sounds neato!!! I really have no clue but will 3/4 shot amaretto and 1/4 shot everclear layered together work!? I know they use it in flaming dr!.peppers (alcoholic drink)!!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Simply put - no!. For something to be lit on fire so it erupts out of a dish would give any chef a heart attack because of the safety issues involved!. I would say to look up a volcano cake (the type which uses dry ice) and go with that!. You can use your Raspberry sauce in the center but no flames !.!.!. too unstable!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

vinegar and baking soda will make a rapidly expanding foam!. and eventhough they are biodegradable and digestable, trust me, the combination tastes horribleWww@FoodAQ@Com
