Question: Is cured ham steak BEEF or PORK!?
My mom told me I could cook this "cured ham steak" I have like a pot roast!. But I don't like ham, and I don't want to cook it if it is ham!. So is cured ham steak BEEF or PORK!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

It's Pork!. you can't change a pig into a cow no matter how you cook it :-)
However!.!.!. you can cook it like a pot roast!. maybe that's what she meant!. It will change the flavor and texture!. Just like the 19 million ways to cook chicken same theory applies!.
It is very tasty and different than say your "typical" ham!.
Not sure how you cook a pot roast tho!. That's key :-)

Its PORK!. it's called Ham Steak because it's cut/ thickness wise like a steak, not thin slices like a lunch meat!. It's very good too bad you don't like ham!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
