Soup and/or sandwich ideas for dinner?!

Question: Soup and/or sandwich ideas for dinner!?
I need some ideas for soups that I can have cooking in the slow cooker while I'm at work!.

Ideas for filling sandwiches too!. My favorite ones right now are my own version of Subway's BMT and their tuna sandwiches, but I need more ideas!.

The only criteria is:
Must be inexpensive (very tight grocery budget)
Must be satisfying for a man who's used to cooked meals!.
Must be reasonably healthy!.

A filling and easy sandwich to make is the Monte Cristo, it's quick, and one of my favorite sammies!. It goes well with most soups too!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I always look for recipes on www!.allrecipes!.com and find exactly what I'm looking for!. Type in 'slow cooker' or 'crock pot' soup and see what you come up with!. Since I don't know your tastes it's difficult to pick just one!.

As far as sandwiches, you can do a salad pita with grilled chicken or beef!. Just slice open a pita and stuff it with lots of salad greens, sliced or crumbled cheese (I prefer goats cheese or feta), and chunks of chicken or beef!. I also will throw in a few nuts like roasted almonds or cashews then I sprinkle it with balsamic vinaigrette which you can make or buy at the store!.

Pepperroni, Salami, Pepper Cheese, and vinergrete dressing, it's so good!.
