Low calorie Mother's Day Breakfast?!
I really wanted to make my mom breakfast in bed, but she's trying to lose weight and she's doing well, and I don't want upset her weight loss control!. Do you know of a nice low calorie breakfast I could give her!? is there such a thing as low calorie french toast or pancakes!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

What will be most important to your mother is that you have kept her diet in mind and prepared her breakfast in keeping with this (trust me !.!.)!.
A single rose, in a small vase, will be very appreciated!. Cut the stem on an angle so it will absorb the most water!.
Simple but, always, good and high in protein:
one extra-large egg, soft or medium on a piece of multi-grain toast!. Butter, only, around the four crust-sides of the toast as this gives the flavour but not so many fat-colories - 1-1/2 tsp!. will be enough!. Fresh fruit salad: diced cantaloupe, seedless red (or green) grapes, halved strawberries and blueberries - the colours are, lovely, together and, by preparing a large bowl of this, the both of you can share until late in the day (fruit is good for your skin, by the way!.!.!.)!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

low cal but still a great treat: Banana whole wheat pancake
INGREDIENTS:
* 1 cup all-purpose flour
* 2/3 cup whole wheat flour
* 1/4 teaspoon salt
* 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
* 2 tablespoons white sugar
* 1 1/2 cups buttermilk
* 2 small ripe bananas, finely chopped
DIRECTIONS:
1!. In a large bowl, mix all-purpose flour, whole wheat flour, salt, baking powder and sugar!. Stir in buttermilk and bananas just until moistened!.
2!. Heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium high heat!. Pour or scoop the batter onto the griddle, using approximately 1/4 cup for each pancake!. Brown on both sides and serve hotWww@FoodAQ@Com

This is an easy variation on the basic french toast recipe, except it uses reduced fat substitutes! Serve with fruit or sugar-free maple syrup!.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup egg substitute
2/3 cup skim milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
6 slices reduced calorie white bread
Directions:
Beat together egg substitute, milk, vanilla and cinnamon!.
Dip bread slices in egg mixture until both sides are soaked!.
Spray a skillet or frying pan with cooking spray and heat over medium high heat!.
Place bread slices into pan and cook until golden brown on both sides!.
Recipe makes six servings!.
