Question: Need a step by step recipe for a pie homemade pie crust!?
Answers:
Great! I LOVE making pie! This is one of the easiest recipes you will ever seen but it will also be the BEST!. No question about it! lol

1!. Put a little dash of salt in the bottom of a bowl!.

2!. put in 2 cups of flour

3!. take on stick of crisco shortening (make sure its cold!.!.!. it will make a flakier crust) and cut it up into the flour with a pastry blender until it is about the size of peas!. do NOT overwork it or it will turn to a really weird paste

4!. add a splash of COLD water!. add a LITTLE at a time and keep adding it until you can mash it together with a fork (or hands) and it will stick and not crumble when you form it into a ball!.

5!. this recipe will make 2 crusts!. either a top and a bottom crust (if you are making a fruit pie) or 2 bottom crusts (for a pumpkin pie or such) so split the dough into 2 balls

6!. dust eiter a counter or a large, plastic cutting board with flour

7!. roll the dough out to about the size of your pan plus the edges!. (you can measure by holding the pan over it) if the dough starts sticking to the rolling pin IMMEDIATLY put a little flour (too much flour would make the crust tough)

8!. put the dough in the pan (NO nead to grease it) the easiest way to transfer the dough is to pick up on edge and wrap it around the rolling pin until you get to the dough!. then lift up the pin and quickly transfer it to the pan!. (if it breaks you can easily repair it or rolll it out again!.

9!. if have a fruit pie with a top crust that isnt a ladis crust you can put thin slices of butter on top the filling before you put on the top crust (this makes the top crust more golden!.) also, if you have a top crust you will want to poke holes in it to keep the filling from bubbling out!.

10!. if the pie has a top crust cook it for 425 for 10 minutes and then 350 for 50 minutes

11!. if it doesnt have a top crust cook it for 350 for an hour and 10 minutes

hope this helps!!!Www@FoodAQ@Com

I never make them myself!. I buy the refridgerated ones at the grocery store!. You end up crimping the ends yourself, so no one really knows if you made them or not!.
