Please, for Mothers day I am going to make my mom meatloaf for dinner, but i never made it before help please before 6:00Www@FoodAQ@Com

This is a great Meat Loaf recipe from Chef Alton Brown of the TV series "Good Eats"!.!.!.

6 ounces garlic-flavored croutons (or substitute 1!.25 cups of bread crumbs)
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1/2 onion, roughly chopped
1 carrot, peeled and broken
3 whole cloves garlic
1/2 red bell pepper
18 ounces ground chuck
18 ounces ground sirloin
1 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt (or 1 teaspoon regular salt)
1 egg
For the glaze:
1/2 cup catsup
1 teaspoon ground cumin
Dash Worcestershire sauce
Dash hot pepper sauce
1 tablespoon honey


Heat oven to 325 degrees F!.
In a food processor bowl, combine croutons, black pepper, cayenne pepper, chili powder, and thyme!. Pulse until the mixture is of a fine texture!. Place this mixture into a large bowl!. Combine the onion, carrot, garlic, and red pepper in the food processor bowl!. Pulse until the mixture is finely chopped, but not pureed!. Combine the vegetable mixture, ground sirloin, and ground chuck with the bread crumb mixture!. Season the meat mixture with the kosher salt!. Add the egg and combine thoroughly, but avoid squeezing the meat!.

Pack this mixture into a 10-inch loaf pan to mold the shape of the meatloaf!. Onto a parchment paper-lined baking sheet, turn the meatloaf out of the pan onto the center of the tray!. Insert a temperature probe at a 45 degree angle into the top of the meatloaf!. Avoid touching the bottom of the tray with the probe!. Set the probe for 155 degrees!.

Combine the catsup, cumin, Worcestershire sauce, hot pepper sauce and honey!. Brush the glaze onto the meatloaf after it has been cooking for about 10 minutes!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Mom's Meatloaf

1 teaspoon prepared horseradish
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 pound ground beef, moistened
1/2 onion, finely chopped
1 egg
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1 cup bread crumbs
1 cup ketchup

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F!.

In a small bowl, mix together the horseradish, mustard, salt, and pepper!. Set aside!.

In large bowl, mix ground beef, onion, egg, and Worcestershire sauce!. Add contents of small bowl and mix thoroughly!. Add the bread crumbs and combine well!.

Place mixture into a 1-pound loaf pan!. Pour ketchup over top and place in oven!.

Bake uncovered for 45 to 60 minutes!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

3 lbs!. ground beef
1 egg
1 package dry onion soup mix
1 small can tomato paste
1 small onion chopped
sliced mushrooms (optional)
1 tsp worcestershire sauce

mix everything (by hand) together in a bowl (but leave half of the tomato paste for later)!.
Put it in a baking pan
Spread the rest of the tomato paste evenly on top
Bake in the oven 45 minutes at 350 degreesWww@FoodAQ@Com

Most grocery stores sell a blend of meats in a tray together for meat loaf, buy that!. It usually has beef, pork and veal!.

The combo is flavorful and tender!. Mix w/ cracker crumbs, 1-2 eggs and italian spices!. Some people bake their meatloaf with ketsup on top!.

MAke sure to allow enough time for it to bake 45min - 1 hr, depending on loaf pan size!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
