You do not have to clarify it!. (adding water to it is not how to clarify butter by the way)
You will end up with a richer tasting brownie!. If you want to cut fat from the recipe you can substitute applesauce or yogurt!.

they will not turn out the same, that is not to say that they won't be delicious!. Butter is much thinner than oil, and therefore, the brownies might not be as moist!.

the difference is that butter has a lowerr melting point, than oil, which means the brownies may have a tendency to burn!.!.!.might have to watch them more closely and lower the temp by say 25 degreesWww@FoodAQ@Com
