I want to cook my squash as a side dish!. My grandmother used to fry it on the stove top, if I remember correctly!. Then we would put butter on it and salt!.

Anyone have any ideas!? Possibly maybe cube the squash and fry in a little butter or oil!?

And i'm not looking for recipes like soup, etc

I like to cube it and cook in pan with a little olive oil, garlic, and onions!. Make sure to cook the squash before frying it by boiling it in water!. I also cook the garlic and onions together then throw in the squash!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

slice it in half long-wise put on a cookie sheet that has foil on it!. place cut side down and bake till tender when poked with a fork, about an hour at 350 degrees!. carefully turn over and scoop out seeds and discard or save for roasting!. scoop out the squash and place in a bowl and add some brown sugar and butter to taste!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Cut it in half, scoop out the seeds and place the halves face-down in a plate in the microwave!. Season it with a bit of salt, and cook on high for approx 4 minutes or until tender!. Let cool and scoop out the flesh!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I usually cut in half, remove the seeds and bake in a pan with a little water filling the bottom!. also I add butter and a little brown sugar to it!. Yummy!!! Dont forget to cover with tinfoil!.
