well it depends how you want it!. But I can tell you the spanish way!. for every cup of rice you put in two cups of water!. You measure the water and boil it with some salt (to your taste), after the water comes to a boil add a bit of oil one to two table spoons is fine depending on how much rice you want!. Add the measured rice and stir !. let boil until you see the water drying!. stir when all water is dry and cover with pan top!. lower the heat on the stove to half of what it was and klet finish cooking!. after 20 minute stir and make sure its cooking roperly and then cover again and leave for 10 to 15 mins depending on how c ooked it is!.!.!. then you done!.!. It will be soft to chew so if its hard and crunchy its not well done unless its the very bottom!. thats the easyest rice to make unless you get the nasty bagged stuff!. hope i could helpWww@FoodAQ@Com

I always make perfect rice this way:

(You need to use long grain, extra long grain, or basmati rice)!.

Boil 3 cups water in a 2qt saucepan!. Add a little salt to the boiling water, then pour in 2 cups of rice!. Cover the pan, lower the heat, and simmer for 20 minutes on the lowest heat setting!.

Leave the lid CLOSED !.!.!.do not open the lid!. Just turn off the heat, and let the rice sit for 30 more minutes, covered!.

Lift lid and enjoy!. (this recipe makes fairly dry rice!. I hate mushy rice)Www@FoodAQ@Com

one cup of rice to two cups of water
you boil the water and then let the rice cook
when the water is almost gone it;s done
they also have special pots you can use that use steam to cook it
it tastes better and it cooks fasterWww@FoodAQ@Com
