I think i have used to much raising agent...?!
I followed the cake recipe (sort of) which called for self raising flour (which i didn't have so used some baking powder with plain flour)!. The recipe also wanted bicarb soda and eggs!. So I've put all that in and the cake is going crazy bubbly in the oven!. Will I still be able to eat it!? It's a carrot cake!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I love carrot cake!.!.!.!.!.wrap it up and mail it to me! I'll eat it even if I have to do it with a straw!.!.!.!.!.!.sounds like you may have "over risen" it, but I'm no chef so I have no idea!. if you followed the basic recipe, just put too much rising agent in it, my guess is that the taste will be fine, you'll just have to climb it with a ladder to cut it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
when i was about 8,i decided 2 make a cake!.the recepie called 4 8 oz of self raising flour,but i used 8oz of baking powder!!!!!!!my mum had put some pork chops in the oven underneath,so we ended up eating cakey pork chops that nite!!!Www@FoodAQ@Com
should be fine it will be well risen though probably a bit of over spill too in the oven for mopping up but still edible yum yum ! oh make sur oven is at right tempWww@FoodAQ@Com
