How do I shape hamburger patties?!
I found this great recipe and but the first step is to "shape beef into hamburger patties"
How do I do this!? Is there a certain size and thickness that they should be!? Can I use something specific to cut the meat!? How do I make it a perfect circular shape!?
Thanks!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Try to make 4 oz burgers!. That's a good starting place!. If you have a 1 lb package of ground beef, for instance, take 1 quarter of that and mash it up in your hands!. Then flatten the ball out a bit until you have a patty that's bigger than a bun (because it'll shrink) and about 1/2 inch to 3/4 thick in the middle!. Do NOT flatten out the patties while you're cooking them!. This will just rid all the juices and you'll have a thin, dry burger that nobody will want to eat!. Just let them cook on one side, and flip them over to the other side (times vary according to grill)!. Don't press them!. Just let them go until the recipe says they're done!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Make sure you wash your hands well before and after, but I use them to shape my patties!. The bigger and thicker they are the longer they will take to cook and the center might still be pink!. If you have flat, skinny patties they will be well cooked faster and all the way through, pretty evenly!. Good Luck!. If you like the flat ones, smash it with the spatula too when it is on the grill or stove!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
you don`t have to have it a certain size or thickness and there isn`t anything specific for it sep 4 a knife! and you make circle by using your hands and roll it in your hands it isn`t really hard it is simple!!!Www@FoodAQ@Com
roll the meat between your two hands it will form a ball then slowly squeeze the ball until it is flat , you've made a hamburger!Www@FoodAQ@Com
