What is a good type of steak to buy from the super market and how do you cook it?!
Answers:
I'm a steak kind of girl!. My favorite type of steak is top sirloin! You can simply pan fry the steak after seasoning it!. I season it with Emeril's steak marinade and McCormick seak seasoning, then pan fry! It's quite delicious!. Don't forget the A1 sauce for dipping the steak!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
The tenderest cut of beef is the tenderloin!. From this area you will get cuts like chateaubriand, filet mignon and tournedos!. Though these cuts are tender they are less flavorful!.
The rib-eye, or rib steak are less tender but far more flavorful!.
Coat your grill with non-stick kitchen spray before you begin to keep your steaks from sticking to the grill!. Preheat your grill before placing your steaks on!. Resist the temptation to put your steaks on before the grill is properly preheated!. The proper temperature for grilling steaks should be around 550 degrees Fahrenheit!. Trim any excess fat from the side of the cut to prevent flare-ups and curling when grilling!.
You should only turn your steaks once on the grill to prevent drying them out!. How long you will cook your steak depends on how well you want it cooked!. You can use a grilling fork with a digital thermometer to see how well done your steak is!. If you want your steak rare, the temperature should be no more than 150 degrees when done!. If you want medium, the temperature should be no more than 160 degrees when done!. Finally, if you want well done (YUK), you should have a temperature of at least 170 degrees!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

For someone who is leanring to cook steak, I would suggest a ribeye cut, It is a tender cut that is well marbled and esy to cook!.

Pan fry- heat skillet very warm , not smoking but plenty hot!.!.
Season steaks with pepper, garlic powder and salt,
add a bit of oil (1 teaspoon ) to the hot skillet, and lay the steak in carefully as to not burn yourself rom the sizzle of the oil!. Cook for about 5-7 minutes per side!. Cut into middle to see if this is done enough for you, 3-5 minutes will give you a medium rare donenes!. 5-7 medium- pink center 7-9 meduim well, no pink and anything beyond that you should be makng something besides steak, no need to waste money on steak if you are cooking it well done!.
Broiler- take out the rack put foil over it!. add water to the bottom of the pan- it will come in two pieces!. Heat broiler!.
Season steaks, and place steak on foiled broiler pan!.
