Answers:
I make bread frequently (by hand, I don't have a bread maker) and this is the recipe I use:
500g strong bread flour
1 sachet easy-blend yeast
2 tsp salt
2 tsp sugar
300ml warm water (200ml cold + 100 boiling)
about 1 tbsp olive oil!.
mix the dry ingredients, then add the water and oil!. Knead for about 15 minutes, or until the bread is elastic!. cover with a clean, damp tea towel leave to rise for 1 1/2 - 2 hours somewhere warm (airing cupboard!?) until doubled in size!. Knock the air out, roll into a sausage and tuck the ends in, then put it in a loaf tin and leave to rise for another 20 minutes or so (until doubled in size again) and then cook at 220 C for 10 mins, then 200C for 10 mins!. Take out of the tin and put in for a further 10 mins to brown the base!.
