Is there any way to quickly defrost chicken breast to be able to cook it within a couple hours?!

Question: Is there any way to quickly defrost chicken breast to be able to cook it within a couple hours!?
Answers:
cold water is the best and you can use salt in the water all so it draws the blood out of the chicken and it will defrost quicker!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

If you have a microwave - then you can defrost them quickly in that, if you don't own a microwave then put them in a plastic bag (or food container) and cover in warm water and leave until defrosted!. Obviously if its hot outside then just defrost naturally on a plate covered with cling film (glad wrap)
Chicken breast will defrost much quicker than a whole chicken anyway!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I place mine in a little ziploc baggie!. Before I close it, I squeeze out all the air (to keep it from floating)!. Then I fill the sink with hot OR cold water (both will thaw the chicken)!. Place the baggie with the chicken in it into the sink!.
If you choose to use hot water, change the water every now and then to keep it hot!. also change the cold water because by putting something frozen in the water it acts as an ice cube and makes the water surrounding it cold!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I've worked in food service and have been trained that the safest way to defrost anything is under room-temperature running water!. Just put a bowl in your sink, add the chicken in a ziploc bag with the air squeezed out, and turn on a slow srteam of water into the bowl!. After about half an hour in the circulating water, your chicken will be thawed and free of harmful bacteria that could be present if you just soak the meat in hot water!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Depending on the thickness of the chicken, you could cook it frozen!. Especially if you are baking or boiling it!. If it's a whole chicken, or if you plan to fry it I would recommend thawing it out!. But if it's just breasts, wings, thighs, or drumsticks, it would take just as long to cook frozen or not!! That's why Tyson says you can cook it frozen on their bags!Www@FoodAQ@Com

what I do is put it in a pan of water (it pre cooks the chicken at the same time this way) bring to boil for 5 min and remove from heat and let it set for about 10 min, Drain well and rinse with cold water and pat dry with paper towel and put back in refrigerator tell ready to cook, This also cuts your frying time in more than half, Good luck (I do this all the time)Www@FoodAQ@Com

Place it in a sink of cold water and change the water every half hour or so!. You dont want to use hot water because it causes the growth of harmful bacteria!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Just put it in a Ziploc bag in your sink filled with cold water!. If it floats, put a plate on it!. Change water every half and hour, should be thawed in no time!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

My mom alway put chicken in a glass bowl with salt in it to defrost chicken and it works really good!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

If I forget to take out my chicken, I just fill the sick with HOT water and unthaw it that way!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

you should e able to use the defrost setting on your microwave to have it ready to cook in no timeWww@FoodAQ@Com

put it in a bowl of cold waterWww@FoodAQ@Com
