I love Salads! How Can I Make Home Made Dressings?!
Do you have recipe ideas for making a salad dressing that I can use on my salads!? I have high blood pressure and want to avoid sugar and salt!. Thank you!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

LOW - SODIUM, LOW - CHOLESTEROL SALAD
DRESSING
1/2 c!. oil
2 tbsp!. lemon juice or vinegar
1/4 tsp!. paprika
1/8 tsp!. dry mustard
1 tsp!. sugar
Combine all ingredients and beat!. Refrigerate in covered jar!. Shake well before use!. May add dill, onion, garlic, or marjoram!. Yield: 3/4 cup!.

LOW SODIUM TANGY SALAD DRESSING
1 c!. buttermilk
1 tbsp!. minced onion
1 tbsp!. minced celery
2 tsp!. chopped chives
1 tbsp!. chili sauce
1/4 tsp!. pepper
1/8 tsp!. garlic powder
1 tbsp!. wine vinegar
Mix all ingredients and refrigerate overnight!. Makes 1 1/4 cups!.

Garlic powder (if desired)

you can also do a mix with baby spinach and either of those two, we do it all the time!. I love a parmesian dressing

3/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1 pinch sugar
Directions:

Well, first off my personal favorite is romaine lettuce!. I agree on the iceberg lettuce!. It's watery and has barely any nutriens, where as romaine is packed with nutriens and tastes great!.
For the dressing, it's hard to make it with no salt, but if you limit the salt, I think you will be ok!. A simple vinegrette could be combining salt, pepper, red wine vinegar (or your favorite vinegar) and dijon mustard!. After these are whisked together, slowly pour in the oil (your oil of choice, I like olive oil) and whisk while it is being put in, like a stream of oil!. As far as measurements, a vinegrette is one part vinegar to two parts oil!. Good luck!Www@FoodAQ@Com
