If you don't want it like shoe leather, i would pan sear it in a hot oiled cast iron skillet, on both sides til it caramelizes!. Then put it in the oven in the skillet with thick cut onions under it to hold it off the pan!. Make sure you put about a cup of water in the bottom before you cover it, so it doesn't burn!.
Cover with aluminum foil and cook on 350 until it is med!. well!.
A meat thermometer comes in handy for this, for rare you want it 140 deg!. Medium is 160 deg, and well done is 170deg!. Depends on your preference!.

no, no, no!

You will ruin it!. ok, let me give you the best one you've ever tasted!. then NEXT TIME go to sams club and buy theirs!. It's expensive, but will taste better than outback!.

Hopefully you have a cookie sheet add a little butter under the steak if you want for flavor too!.

Ingredients: worchestershire sprinkle over top of steak, baja chilpote marianate sauce, cover top of steak, table spoon bbq sauce, and sprinkle 2tsp balsalmic vinegar!. I also use just a little tobasco!. RUB STEAK with all these ingredients both sides!. Let set aside 30 minutes!. NEVER put a cold steak right straight on to the grill or pan!.

set timer for 25 minutes!. Then put broiler on stove on!. set timer for 5 more minutes, then put steak on top rack closest to broiler on cookie sheet on tin foil ( to keep juices in )!.

Is it 16oz!? Cook one side 5-8 minutes, then turn!. Watch edges of steak, never let them get burnt!. 5min then take out!.
cover the tin foil over the steak to let it sort of steam in there until meal is completely ready to serve!. The juices of the meat will stay inside the steak this way now!.

OH MY GOODNESS, you'll DIE eating it!. email me how wonderful it was!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Use butter and oil not to much, don't cover you didn't say how you liked your steak rare med!. rare med!. or well done!. I would cook it about 7 - 10 min!. per side then cut into it to check!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Oh good grief-- please don't do such a thing! Grilling is by far the best way, but if you can't-- at least broil it!. In a pan with a lid will just make it soggy!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
