What is the best way to cook frozen Veggies so they are not like rubber?!
We have microwaved them and boiled them and they come out like rubber!. Especially the green beans!. We like them to be a lot softer than that!. I plan on adding them to a dish that starts out frozen as well, but I don't want to ruin it with rubber veggies!. I am adding corn and broccoli!. How should I cook them!. The dish I am adding them to is one of those frozen meals that come in the bag, but I want to add a bunch of stuff!. I already have the chicken and my seasoning but those darn veggies have me leary!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I only use frozen veg,I leave them until last,do not put them in hot water, put them in cold water, bring to boil, simmer for 5 min with lid off,no longer!.I gave up with the microwave, they are not consistent!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Microwave is usually the best way for frozen veggies!. Maybe you are cooking them too long!. Try only doing 2!.5 or 3 minutes if the box recommends 4 minutes!. They are going to continue cooking when you ad them to your dish!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Cook it on stove top and then put a tight lid over it especially if it is broccoli!. Don't let it sit for to long or it will be rubber!. you should at least let broccoli sit for maybe about 10 minutes!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
They only require a few minutes cooking as a rule just to get them hot!.
I would think 5 minutes in boiling water would be long enough!.
Keep an eye on them and when they are to your liking drain!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
