i was wondering, if a cook who works in a hotel was asked to fry an egg for a customer, and by accident, the yellow part of the egg bursted while the cook was opening the egg to fry it in a saucepan with oil!.

would the cook give that egg to the customer, or discard it and fry another one!?

Answers:
eggs with broken yolks dont get served unless the customer specifically asks for them that way!. If i broke a yolk while pouring the egg into the pan i could easily turn it into another order for say an omelet or scrambled eggs!.But if i broke it when flipping it i throw it out and start over!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Okay I hope you are not cooking for people cuz it desn't sound like you know what you are doing!. Start at home first then move up to working in a commercial kitchen!.

And some times when the yolk breaks it doesn't leak everywhere, so it just depends on how bad it is!.

In a resturant you are probably doing it on the flat top or in an egg pan!. Used ONLY for frying eggs, and making omlets!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Errr, who knows!? It depends on the customer really!.!.!.it depends on how they asked the egg to be fried!. Sunny side up or whatever!.!.!.!.!. From my perspective, I would do another one, I like my fried eggs with the yolk intact!.!.!.its just not the sameWww@FoodAQ@Com

you toss it and start again!. it is up to the customer to break his own yolk!.
btw!.!.!. use a skillet, not a saucepan!.!.!. how the hell are you gonna turn the egg or get it out of a sucepan!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yah definitely if i'm paying for an egg, i want it the way i ordered it!. And i definitely don't order one with a broken yolk :)Www@FoodAQ@Com

It would be tossed, and he would start again!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
