Why do people put fork marks on the top of peanut butter cookies?!

Question: Why do people put fork marks on the top of peanut butter cookies!?
Answers:
Peanut butter cookie dough is very sticky to work with!. Most cooks roll the dough into uniform balls and then flatten them all with the aforementioned fork, although some cooks use a bit of sugar and the bottom of a drinking glass!. Either way, the cookie dough can't be baked in the ball format ~ they wouldn't be done in the middle!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Unlike other cookies, peanut butter cookies do not spread out when baked!. The fork marks squish it out evenly (or mostly so) so the cookie bakes completely and you don't have blackened cookie on the outside and ooey gooey dough on the inside!.

Besides, they look pretty with the marks ;)Www@FoodAQ@Com

tradition!. nothing more, nothing less!.
PB cookies have nothing to lend them texture such as nuts or chocolate chips and they have no topping, such as sugar or spinkles, so someone, somewhere decided to use a fork in order to lend them a textured appeal that they lacked!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

because it makes them all sexy and yummy!.!.!.!.
and so people know that they are peanut butter!.!.!.!.!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

because it is classic and the fork spreads the cookie out before bakingWww@FoodAQ@Com

i think it to make the cookies
look nice!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

for the air to release so they don't get HARD!!!!Www@FoodAQ@Com
