I need an easy dough recipe for playing and baking/eating?!
I would like an easy dough recipe that you can make at home, that you can play with like playdough (so not sticky and not crumbly, and holds shape), and that you can bake and eat afterwards (so it should tastes good enough)!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

This will keep flat shapes well, and even rounded ones!. If you made something 3D, unless you made the legs as big as the body, it probably wouldn't work to bake it!. I use it to make cookies that look like scoops of ice cream, and also to make roll-out cookies!.
1 cup margarine (not softened)
1 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 egg
2 tsp baking powder
3 cups flour
Cream margarine, sugar, vanilla and egg together!. Add baking powder and flour, mix well!. Dough will be stiff and unless you have a Kitchen Aid mixer, you'll probably have to finish mixing it by hand!. Don't chill it, it can be worked with right away!.
It can be colored with food coloring!.
Bake at 400 on an ungreased cookie sheet for 6 minutes!. If you have a very thick piece that you're baking, it might take a few more minutes!.
Another edible dough that is fun to play with is fondant!. You can google marshmallow fondant for recipes!.!.!.it's not as easy to make or work with as the cookie dough is, though!. If you want to make 3D fondant figures, you need to add some sort of support!.!.!.cocktail sticks or dried spaghetti noodles!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Why can't you use a regular yeast dough!? That would probably be your best bet!. Try a dough that one uses for cinnamon rolls (it's sweet) and form it into animals instead of rolling it out and adding the butter and cinnamon!.

Are you trying to make 3-d animanls or flat!? I don't think it will work unless its flat and then I would suggest a chilled sugar cookie dough!. If you want to mold something I would try rice krispie treats and play with the mixture and see what you can create!Www@FoodAQ@Com
