Just don't put an egg in the microwave because it will explode!.
As for boiling an egg!.!. the shell usually cracks from the membrain of the egg absorbing the surrounding water through osmosis and thus growing larger than it's calcium shell!. But if it's neglected the water dries up from the heat and yes i think the egg will burn!.!.!. I think!.!. but not sure!.!. I wonder what would happen if you fried an egg with its shell on!.!. Y'know, that is a random question!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

*Ahem* If you put eggs on to boil and then fall asleep, the water will run dry, and then the eggs will start to burn and you will have the most incredible smokey stench in your house which might even bring out your moody daughter from the fortress of her room to yell, "MOM!!!"Www@FoodAQ@Com
That depends on what you intended!. If you boil a "soft boiled" egg too long it will be "hard boiled" and if you boil a "hard boiled" egg too long it will be rubbery!. If you really really boil it waaaaaaaaaaaaay too long it will explode and stink up your house!.
I suggest you use a timer!Www@FoodAQ@Com

It may get cracks!. But dont worry, by the time it is "over-cooked" the yolk and egg white wont go squirt out anymore!. But when it runs out of water, it may burn!.
Sojust be sure to only boil it for 10 minutes!. No more than 20!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I did this the other day!. It won't burn if there is still water left that is covering it!. If it runs out of water it will crack then expose the egg and it will burn!. I had to throw them out!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
I dont know never done it!. LOL!. I might try it just to see!. Although I dont have any eggs right now I cooked my last few this morning!. I know they start cracking open!. I would imagine they would start breaking apart!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
The yolk will become really dry and the shell will crack if you cook it too long!. The white stays the same and it will be super hot!Www@FoodAQ@Com
If you overcook it the yolk in the middle starts to go a blackish colour around the outside!. I don't know what would happen eventually!.!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
