Does anyone here know the most efficient way of cooking my food in foil?!

Easy to do!. Use the heavy foil as the regular (thinner) tends to tear and get holes easily!. Is a good way to cook camping etc!. as you can do a whole meal in a tin foil pouch!. It will cook faster this way as it not only bakes but steams!. Add a little butter and liquid to most things!. I am sure if you post the question for receipes for this kind of cooking you will get many answers!. Is fun for the whole family to cook this way!. Kids love it too!.

Chicken in Foil
2 6-ounce skinless boneless chicken breast halves
1/4 cup sliced onion
1/2 tomato -- sliced
1 medium baking potato -- sliced
1 small carrot -- sliced
1 stalk celery -- sliced
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/8 teaspoon dried whole tarragon
1 teaspoon lemon juice
Cut two 15 x 12-inch pieces of heavy-duty aluminum foil; place a chicken
breast in center of each!. Top with onion and remaining ingredients!. Wrap
well; place on baking sheet!. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour!.
Makes 6 servings
Mustard Pork Chop In Foil
1/4 ts Vegetable or olive oil
1 Thick slice onion
5 oz Boneless pork chop
1 ts Prepared mustard
Salt and pepper to taste
Sprig of rosemary or
1/4 ts Dried rosemary, optional
Hands on time: 5 minutes!. Baking time: 20 to 30 minutes!.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees!.
Tear heavy-duty foil to make a 12-inch square; smear foil with oil!.
Place onion slice on half of foil!. Trim fat from chop, spread both
sides with mustard, place on onion, sprinkle with salt and pepper,
top with rosemary if desired!. Close foil to form triangle, roll edges
and crimp firmly to seal, turning sealed edges upward!. (A surprising
amount of juices are generated during cooking!.) Place in baking pan
(lest those juices leak) and bake 20 to 30 minutes, depending on
thickness of chop, or until chop is no longer pink in center!.
Transfer packet to dinner plate, open and turn chop with onion and
juices onto plate!. Serve, if desired, with potato or sweet potato
baked in same oven!.
Per serving: 219 calories (41 percent from protein, 5 percent from
carbohydrate, 54 percent from fat), 22 grams protein, 3 grams
carbohydrate, 13 grams fat, 74 milligrams cholesterol, 325 milligrams
sodium!.

Lemony Fish in Packets
Any number of different types of fish will work, and you can increase the recipe easily!. Try halibut, cod, salmon, red snapper, trout, etc!. Serve with a white and wild rice blend!.
Makes: 6 servings
6 (6 ounce) halibut fillets
3 teaspoons dried dill weed
3 teaspoons onion powder
1/4 teaspoon paprika
Seasoning salt to taste
1 pinch lemon pepper
2 teaspoons dried parsley
1 pinch garlic powder
2 tablespoons lemon juice
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C)!. Cut 6 foil squares, large enough for the size of each fillet!.
Center fillets on the foil squares and sprinkle each with dill weed, onion powder, paprika, seasoned salt, lemon pepper, parsley and garlic powder!. Sprinkle lemon juice over each fillet!. Fold foil over fillets to make a pocket!. Pleat seams to securely enclose!. Place packets on a baking sheet and bake for 30 minutes!.
Pizza Chicken Packets
4 boneless chicken breast halves
1 cup pizza sauce
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
20 slices pepperoni
1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
1/2 cup chopped onion
Preheat oven to 450 degrees F or grill to medium-high!. Spray one side of a 12 x 18-inch sheet of heavy duty aluminum foil with nonstick cooking spray!.
Center one chicken breast on the sprayed side of foil!. Spoon 1/4 of the pizza sauce over chicken!. Top with 1/4 each of the pepperoni, vegetables and cheese!.
Fold foil into packet!. Repeat with remaining chicken breasts!. Bake for 18 to 23 minutes on a cookie sheet in the oven or grill for 10 to 12 minutes, covered!.
NOTE: Substitute or add your favorite pizza toppings
Pork Chop Packet Dinners
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
4 pork chops
Pepper
1 small onion, thinly sliced
2 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
1 package frozen corn on the cob
1 teaspoon dill weed (optional)
4 rectangles of foil 16 x 12 inches each
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F!.
In large skillet heat oil!. Brown por chops in oil; season with pepper!. Place 1 pork chop on center of each piece of foil!. Place 1/4 of onion and potato slices on top of each pork chop!. Place 1 frozen ear of corn next to pork chop on foil!. Sprinkle 1/4 teaspoon dill weed over each dinner, if desired; top with 1 tablespoon butter!. Fold foil around pork chop and corn; seal top and sides securely!. Place packets in 15 x 10-inch jellyroll pan!. Bake for 1 hour or until corn is hot and potatoes and pork chops are tender!.
Yield: 4 servings
Smoked Sausage Potato Packets
4 (18 x 12-inch) sheets heavy duty aluminum foil
1 (14 to 16 ounce) package turkey smoked
sausage, cut in 1/4-inch slices
1 1/3 pound (4 medium) potatoes, cut in 1/2-inch cubes
1 medium green bell pepper, cubed
1 (27 3/4 ounce) jar spaghetti sauce
1/2 teaspoon salt (optional)
1/2 teaspoon pepper
Preheat oven to 450 degrees F or set grill to medium-high!. Spray foil with nonstick cooking spray!. Combine sausage, potatoes, green pepper, spaghetti sauce, salt (if desired) and pepper!. Center one-fourth of mixture on each sheet of heavy duty aluminum foil!. Bring up foil sides!. Double fold top and ends to seal packet, leaving room for heat circulation inside!. Repeat to make four packets!. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes on a cookie sheet in oven or grill for 18 to 22 minutes in covered grill!.
Makes 4 servings!.
