How long can you marinade a steak?!

Question: How long can you marinade a steak!?
We put steak in marinade over 24 hours ago, but now it doesn't look as though we'll be making it tonight!. Can we leave it in another day!?!?
If not, what should we do!?!?!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
well meat should be frozen or cooked with in 3 days so depending on when you bought it would depend on what you should do with it, if it has been more than 2 days since you bought it throw it in the freezer and just defrost it when you are ready to cook it, it would be just fine, if you bought it and marinaded it the same day and you are definatly going to cook it tomarrow then it will be fine in the fridge (just remember that marinades often change the color of the meat)Www@FoodAQ@Com

I believe it will make them even better to wait another day!. It will just give them more time to absorb the marinade and tenderize the steaks!. Make sure you put them in the coldest part of your frig!. If the marinade has an acidic base them you will probably be able to cut them with a fork!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

i would probably put it in the freezer
in case you can't cook it tomorrow night either
it will be fine
just defrost it and cook itWww@FoodAQ@Com

too long could make the meat mushy!. You could pull it out of the marinade and refridgerate!. It will be okay till tomorrow and since it has already marinated, it will be tasty!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

!?!?!?!?
As i remember after about 54 (!?!?57) days the marinade really goes to townWww@FoodAQ@Com

Overnight is the best, but if you can't, at least two to four hours!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
