Bacon Dressing

Yield: 1 Batch

4 sl Bacon; diced
1/2 ts Garlic salt (up to 1)
1 ts Oregano
1 ts Sesame seed
1 ts Worcestershire sauce
Wine vinegar to taste

Cook bacon, garlic salt, oregano and sesame seed
over low heat until bacon is done, stirring
occasionally!. Add worcestershire sauce and
vinegar; mix well!.




BLUE CHEESE SOUR CREAM DRESSING

1/4 c!. cream
1 c!. dairy sour cream
3/4 c!. (4 oz!.) Clemson Blue Cheese Krumbles
1/4 tsp!. salt
2 tbsp!. chili sauce
1/8 to 1/4 clove minced garlic

Blend cream, sour cream and Blue cheese together!. Add salt, chili sauce and garlic and mix well!. Pour into jar, cover tightly and refrigerate until ready to serve!. Yield: 1 1/2 cups





Creamy Green Pepper Dressing
1 1/2 cups mayonnaise
1/2 cup finely chopped green bell pepper
1/4 cup finely chopped parsley
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
1/4 cup light corn syrup
2 tablespoons cider vinegar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper

In small bowl stir together mayonnaise, green pepper, parsley, onion, corn syrup, vinegar, salt and ground pepper until well blended!. Cover; refrigerate 2 hours to blend flavors!.

Makes about 2 1/4 cups




Peppy Tomato Dressing

8 ounces tomatoes; drained, 1 can
1 cup salad oil
1/3 cup white wine vinegar
1 medium onion slice
1/2 medium garlic clove-- minced
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon celery seed

Chop the tomatoes and add to the rest of the ingredients in a blender container, blending until all of the ingredients are well blended!.

Makes 1 3/4 cups!.



Green Onion Dressing

1 egg yolk
1 cup chopped green onions
3 tablespoons white vinegar
1 tablespoon Creole mustard
1/4 teaspoon chopped garlic clove
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon white pepper
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 cup vegetable oil

Combine all ingredients in screw-top jar; shake well!.



White French Salad Dressing
Yield: 4 Servings

1/2 c Vegetable oil
1/4 c Vinegar
1 tb Sugar
1 1/2 ts Salt
1/4 ts Celery seed
1/4 ts Dry mustard
1/8 ts Onion, grated
1 sm Garlic clove, peeled

Mix all of the ingredients together except the garlic!. Add the
garlic
and let stand in the dressing for about 1 hour!. Remove the garlic!.
Makes about 3/4 cup of dressing!.



SPICY SOUR CREAM DRESSING:
1 c!. sour cream
2 tbsp!. lemon juice
2 tbsp!. minced pimentos
1/4 tsp!. salt
1/8 tsp!. paprika
Dash garlic powder
2 drops Tabasco sauce



ROSE'S TOMATO/ONION DRESSING
Yield: 1 Servings

1 cn Tomato Wedges (14 1/2 oz!.)
1 lg Sweet Onion
2 tb Herb Vinegar (Or Whatever
Vinegar you like !. !. !. and
You may want more than 2
TB)
1/2 ts Poppy seeds
1/2 ts Celery seeds
1/2 ts Garlic salt
1 1/2 ts Basil
1 ts Cilantro
1/2 ts Dill weed
1/2 tb Sugar(More or less to
Taste)
1/2 ts Citric Acid (optional, for
Longer shelf life)

1!. Saute Onion along with the spices in a small amount of veggie
broth, wine, or water until transparent and tender!. !. 2!. Put tomatoes
and onion mixture in blender, add vinegar and sugar!. Blend on low
speed!. 3!. Taste, add more vinegar, salt, and/or more sugar to suit
individual taste buds!.

This makes a nice dressing for any kind of green salad!.



THE ULTIMATE SALAD DRESSING
Yield: 2 Servings

1 ts Dry mustard
1/2 ts Salt
1/4 ts Pepper
1/2 ts Sugar
1 ts Dried oregano
2 tb Parsley
2 tb Minced onions
1 tb Minced garlic cloves
1 tb Minced sweet red peppers
4 ts Lemon juice
4 ts White wine vinegar
1/2 c Light oil

In small bowl, whisk together all ingredients except oil!. Whisk
mixture while slowly drizzling in oil!. Let stand for 30 minutes to
blend flavours!. Whisk again before using!. Dressing can also be made
in food processor!. (use pulse)






Vidalia Onion Dressing


1 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon salt
Dry mustard
Celery seed
1 Vidalia sweet onion, grated
1 tablespoon oil
1/2 cup vinegar

In a small saucepan, mix together sugar, salt, mustard and celery seed!. Add grated Vidalia sweet onion (size depends on individual taste), oil and vinegar!. Heat until sugar is melted!. Cool and refrigerate!.

Serve over salad warm or cold!.

Makes about 1 1/2 cups!.




Subway Sweet Onion Dressing
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1 tablespoon minced white onion
1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
2 teaspoons white distilled vinegar
1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar
1 teaspoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon buttermilk powder
1/4 teaspoon lemon juice
1/8 teaspoon poppy seeds
1/8 teaspoon salt
Pinch cracked black pepper
Pinch garlic powder

Combine all ingredients in a small microwave-safe bowl!. Heat mixture uncovered in the microwave for 1 to 1 1/2 minutes on HIGH until mixture boils rapidly!. Whisk well, cover and cool!.

Fresh Citrus Salad Dressing

This recipe goes with Shrimp-and-Pasta Salad

Whisk together 1/2 cup light olive oil, 3 Tbsp!. Greek seasoning, 3 Tbsp!. fresh lemon juice, and 3 Tbsp!. mayonnaise!.

Fresh Apricot Basil Salad Dressing

Serve with fresh apricot pasta salad or another fruity vegetarian salad recipe!. This apricot salad dressing recipe is both vegetarian and vegan!.

INGREDIENTS:

1 fresh ripe apricot, pitted
1 tbsp white vinegar
1/2 tbsp sugar
2 tbsp vegetable or olive oil
1 tbsp chopped fresh basil or 1 tsp dried basil


PREPARATION:

Combine pitted apricot, vinegar and sugar in blender, and whirl until blended!. With blender running, slowly add vegetable oil until thick and smooth!. Stir in basil!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

it really depends what you're putting in your salad!.!.!.!. but one of my favourite "all-purpose" dressings is just a simple balsamic vinaigrette with a splash of pure maple syrup added in!. (it has to be real maple syrup though, not the fake pan-cake stuff} or I'll do a lemon and vinagrette with a bit of honey and something spicy, either tabasco, or that thai red chili sauce!. That one is awesome on a salad with grilled shrimp, also try adding some ginger to it either powdered or fresh grated!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

well i make my own so i always make infused olive oil so i stick garlic, carrots , pine nuts, basil leaves,scallions, and olives into my olive oil bottle!. let sit for a day then i take that oil and good balsamic ving!. salt pepper and parm cheese!. mix it up and it's the best dressing ever!!! For a dressing for fresh vegetables, try this:

- olive oil
- fresh lemon juice
- Medium onion, diced
- Salt and pepper to taste

This is a dressing I use in salad and pasta salad:

DRESSING:
3 parts Canola Oil
1 part Apple Cider Vinegar
1 tsp!. Dijon Mustard
Balsamic Vinegar (add to taste)
Oregano (add to taste)
Basil (add to taste)
