Any healthy meal ideas?!
My family and I are starting to eat healthy!. We are not buying boxed or canned items!. We have tons of fruits and veges!. We bought ground turkey in substitute for ground beef, but found out we weren't too fond of the taste and smell of it!. Is there a healthy lean meat that doesn't smell weird or taste bad!? I don't like any fish products either!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Don't throw away that ground turkey yet!. For a slightly better flavor, add about 1/3 to 1/2 of lean ground beef ( you can ask for it if it's not labeled ) and it will give it a much better texture and flavor!. I'm not a fan of ground poultry products since the texture is never what you expect!. Ostrich has a beefier flavor to it, but it's expensive!. Try buying turkey breast, and stuffing them with different vegetables and seasonings for a change!. Ex!. chicken breast stuffed with spinach and artichokes or zucchini and tomatoes!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
yup ground chicken it tastes and smells much better than turkey, so you can use it alot of your favorite dishes such as tacos meat sauces such as spaghettti sauce!. but iwill give you my favorite recipe!. chicken chili it is wonderful!!! I make mine in a crock pot i simmer all day and it is so good!.
1 package ground chicken
1 can white beans
1 can of yellow corn
handful of red onion
1 jar reciato this is by goya it has the most wondeful flavor
it is bright green it has lots of cilantro and other spanish spices it really makes the chili!
1 1/2 cans of whole peeled tomatos
2 tbls!. chili powder
salt and pepper
if you like it spicy you ca add a little red pepper flake !.
you can add other veggies but i dont like the flavor of peppers in it it sort of wrecks the other flavors!. well good luck i hope you enjoy this recipe!. i usually serve it with a hanful of cheddar cheese on the top and a side of corn bread yummy!!!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Ham is good, and lean ham is very healthful - moreso than turkey, believe it or not!.
An excellent sandwich-replacement idea is:
La Fuerza Healthier Choice Sundried Tomato wraps (available at a lot of grocery stores)
Hellman's Light Mayo
Lean ham lunchmeat
2% American Cheese
This combo tastes really good and has:
250 calories
12g fat, only 2!.5 of which is saturated fat
15g carbohydrates
6g fiber
20g protein
You can add veggies to the wrap if you're so inclined - spinach leaves, diced tomato, or whatever!.

You just have to think ahead and and be ready to try different
ways to enjoy the vegetables and meat products!. What about ground veal or lamb with the right spices you will not smell a thing!.also lean ground beef!.
Try the Mediterranean way of cooking with olive oil and herbs and spices of that area it is easy and very healthy and you have almost every thing you need in your kitchen!.
