Go to a Japanese supermarket!. Fish used fro sashimi must be absolutely fresh and needed to be kept at a certain temp on the boat too!. It has to be fresher than the average fish that will be cooked before eaten that you get in the regular grocers!. There are several types of tuna that are commonly used for sashimi, also different quality of tuna too, and you should have a nice choice in the Japanese supermarkets!. Son't forget the wasabi!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
i don't know where but i can give u tips to choose the best-
if you are buying pre done seafood frozen in bags, don't worry about it!.!.!.
if you plan to choose a bloody fish out of a box of ice and tell the butcher to clean it for you, you should choose fish that have a lighter color!. Flesh should be pink, not brown!. When you lift up the gills, the bright red it is, the fresher it is!. When u look at the eyes, the cloudier it is, the longer the fish has been dead!.!.!.
hmm!.!.!. i want sashimi! =DWww@FoodAQ@Com
