How are raisins made?!


Question: How are raisins made!?
YES, I KNOW THEY ARE DRIED UP GRAPES!.!.!.!. but, I guess what I'm asking is: where do they dry them up!? under the sun!? do they put the grapes on the ground or on some kind of cloth!? and for how long!?
I wanna know THE PROCESS of making raisins!.

Answers:
1!. Take a couple pounds of grapes (that are off the stem)!. Wash them with a little lemon juice in the water to preserve the color (if using different colors of grapes)!. Pat dry and place on a baking sheet!. Cover with cheesecloth!. Set out in direct sunlight for several days up to a week!. Check on them after a couple days to see how much they've shrank and *wrinkled*!. :-) Taste and when they are how you want them!.!.!.!. store in an airtight container and enjoy at your leisure!.

the are (1) grown, (2) harvested, (3) dried for 4-6 weeks, gathered for (4) processing and packaging!.

I saw a special on tv a few years ago!.!.!.they dried the grapes in the sun on huge screens (kinda like window screens)!. I can't remember how long it took, tho!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
