Whisk 2 eggs with one T!. milk and 1 tsp vanilla!. Soak 3 slices of bread in this mixture while you melt butter in a medium hot skillet!. When butter is sizzling, place slices of bread in the skillet and brown on each side!. Serve with a drizzle of hot pancake syrup or favorite jam or fresh fruit!. We also like to shake powdered sugar on top and a dollop of whipped cream to make it special!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Heat (medium) about 1/4 " of oil in a frying pan!. Dip the bread in the egg and vanilla mixture, turn over and dip other side, and then drop carefully into the hot oil!. When golden brown turn over and cook until that side is also golden brown!. The secret is not to have the oil too hot that it burns before it cooks!.
