How long can frozen beef stay in the freezer and still be edible?!

Question: How long can frozen beef stay in the freezer and still be edible!?
I found a package of London broil that is almost 2 years old in the bottom of my chest freezer!. Can I use it!? Should I put it in a stew rather than broiling!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
If the freezer is five stars, you can use it anytime!. The taste and texture might be impaired, but it won't harm you, even after a hundred years!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

If you want to freeze meat but still want the same quality, use within 6 months!. The nutrients start to break down after 6 months so it probably woudn't taste too flash!. lol I've never known anyone to keep meat in their freezer for 2yrs!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

My mom has always told me 6 months but I have ate beef after a year but the taste had faded!. So I am sure it would be OK to eat but I doubt it would have any flavor if it wasn't freezer burnt!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

See how it looks and smells when it is defrosted and decide from there!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

no you can not cook it!.trow it away/Www@FoodAQ@Com

3 months!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

well if you cook it really good don't you think that the bacteria would die!. thats what i reckonWww@FoodAQ@Com
