Yes, I think the responses to this prove that!
Its interesting that often fat in a food is there for texture!. When it is reduced the food tastes essentially the same, but the texture is horrible!. An example is low fat chocolate if you have ever tried that!. It tastes the same, but doesn't have that 'melt in your mouth' texture that the fat gives it!.
The fact that fat gives a unique texture is one of the reasons why it is so hard to find fat replacements in food!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

If it's not up to par, then why should you eat something you don't enjoy!. Food is for nourishment yes, but why waste good calories on something you are less than satisfied with, when there is something else you can eat!. Better luck next time!Www@FoodAQ@Com
Yes, texture plays a big part in how people react to food!. Think about overcooked dried out chicken, it still tastes like chicken, but would you want to eat it!? If you place that next to a perfectly cooked chicken then nobody would eat the dried out one!. Getting the texture right is part of being a good chef!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
