Question: I'm looking for crockpot recipes!?
i have never really used my crockpot, except for to make chicken soup!. I would love to use it more, but don't know any recipes!. help!Www@FoodAQ@Com

2 lb hamburger
1 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup chopped green peppers
28 oz jar pizza sauce
3!.5 oz pkg sliced pepperoni, chopped
1 tsp basil leaves
1/2 tsp oregano leaves
( or sub!. italian seasoning)
18 sandwich buns, split
8 ounces shredded Mozzarella cheese

In 12 in!. skillet, brown hamburger and onion
Drain
Spray cooker
Sppon meat mixture into crock
Add green pepper!. pizza suace,pepperoni,, and seasonings
Cover, cook on low for 4-6 hours
Spoon 1/3 cup of mixture on bottom of buns
Top each 2 tbsp of cheese
Cover with top bun

Crockpot Breakfast Cobbler

4 medium-size apples, peeled and sliced
1/4 cup honey
1 teaspoon cinnamon
2 tablespoons butter, melted
2 cups granola cereal

Spray inside of crockpot with nonstick spray!. Place apples in slow cooker and mix in remaining ingredients!. Cover and cook on LOW for 7 to 9 hours, or overnight (alternately, cook on HIGH for 2 to 3 hours)!.

Serve with milk!.

Makes 4 servings





Cherry Bread
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 (6 ounce) jar maraschino cherries
3/4 cup pecans, coarsely chopped

Drain cherries, reserving 1/3 cup syrup, and cut cherries in pieces (about 1/2 cup)!.

Mix flour, baking powder and salt!. Beat eggs and sugar together until thick and piled softly!. Alternately add dry ingredients and the 1/3 cup cherry syrup to egg mixture, mixing until well blended after each addition!. Mix in cherries and pecans!. Turn into well greased and floured cooker bake pan or 2-pound coffee can!. Cover bake pan with lid or if using coffee can, cover with 6 layers paper towels!. Set in crockpot!. Cover and cook on HIGH for 2 to 3 hours!.

Remove bake pan and cool 10 minutes before removing from pan




Chicken and Dumplings
4 boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut in small chunks
2 cans condensed cream of chicken soup
1/4 cup onion, finely diced
2 cups water
2 (10 ounce) packages refrigerated biscuits
1 chicken bouillon cube

Combine all ingredients, except biscuits, in crock pot!. Cover and cook on LOW for 5 to 6 hours!.

Thirty minutes before serving, tear biscuit dough into 1-inch pieces!. Add to crock pot, stirring gently!. Cover and cook on HIGH for an additional 30 minutes or until biscuits are fluffy and cooked through!.



Chicken and Noodles Italian Style
After a hard day at work there is nothing better than to walk in the house and be met with the incredible aroma of this slow cooker chicken recipe!.
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 8 hours on LOW plus and 20 minutes on HIGH
Makes 6 servings!.



Ingredients:
1 1/2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs, well trimmed
1 1/2 teaspoons McCormick? Season-All? Seasoned Salt
1 teaspoon McCormick? Thyme Leaves
1/2 teaspoon McCormick? Oregano Leaves
1 can (14 1/2 ounces) chicken broth
1 can (14 1/2 ounces) diced tomatoes, undrained
3 medium carrots (about 1/2 pound), peeled and thinly sliced
1 large onion, thinly sliced and separated into rings
6 ounces medium egg noodles (about 3 cups)
3/4 cup frozen green peas, thawed


Directions:
1!. Rinse chicken and pat dry!. Cut each thigh into 4 pieces and place on plate!. Mix seasonings and sprinkle over chicken!.
2!. Place broth, tomatoes, carrots and onion slices in slow cooker!. Stir in seasoned chicken; cover!.

3!. Cook 8 hours on LOW!. Increase heat to HIGH!. Stir in noodles and peas; cover!. Cook 15 to 20 minutes on HIGH or until noodles are tender but still firm!. Let stand 10 to 15 minutes before serving to allow noodles to absorb the broth!.

Test Kitchen Tip: 2 1/2 pounds bone-in chicken thighs (6 large) will yield about 1 1/2 pounds when skinned and boned!.

IMPORTANT: For best results, do not remove cover during cooking!.

Slow Cooker Upside-Down Chicken Pot Pie
No, you don't have to turn your slow cooker upside down to enjoy this savory pot pie!. Pop biscuits in the oven about 30 minutes before it's done, then serve the chicken mixture over the biscuits!. Bottoms up!

1 1/4 pounds boneless skinless chicken thighs
1 tablespoon instant chopped onion
1 dried bay leaf
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 jar (18 ounces) chicken gravy
2 medium celery stalks, cut into 1/2-inch slices
2 1/4 cups Original Bisquick? mix
2/3 cup milk
1 bag (1 pound) Green Giant? frozen mixed vegetables


1!. Place chicken in 3 1/2- to 4-quart slow cooker!. Top with onion, bay leaf, pepper and gravy!. Place celery on gravy!.
2!. Cover and cook on Low heat setting 8 to 10 hours!.
3!. About 30 minutes before serving, make and bake 8 biscuits using Bisquick mix and milk as directed on package!.
4!. Meanwhile, gently stir frozen vegetables into chicken mixture!. Increase heat setting to High!. Cover and cook 15 minutes!. Remove bay leaf!.
5!. For each serving, split biscuit and place in soup bowl or tart pan!. Spoon about 3/4 cup chicken mixture on top of biscuit!.

Note: This recipe was tested in slow cookers with heating elements in the side and bottom of the cooker, not in cookers that stand only on a heated base!. For slow cookers with just a heated base, follow the manufacturer’s directions for layering ingredients and choosing a temperature!.











Slowed Cooked Spicy Kielbasa

Ingredients:
1 cup brown sugar
6 tbsp!. spicy mustard
1 small sweet onion, finely chopped
2 pounds smoked kielbasa

Chop the onion and sauté in a small amount of olive or vegetable oil
until browned!. Combine the sugar and mustard and place in the crockpot!.
Cut the kielbasa into one inch thick slices and add to the crockpot!.
Stir to coat!.Cover and cook on low heat 2-1/2 to 3 hours, stirring
occasionally!. 6 servings!. Variations: Use a spicy barbecue sauce in your
favorite brand instead of the sugar mixture!. This is not a "set in
stone" recipe! You can use smoked cocktail sausages as well, and more or
less sauce, depending on what you prefer!



Sweet And Sour Pork

6 pork chops or pork tenderloin

1 can sauerkraut, drained

1/2 cup brown sugar

1 cup applesauce

Salt and pepper

1 onion, sliced

2 cup water



In a large skillet with oil, brown the pork, remove from heat and drain!. Set aside!. In a bowl,

combine the sauerkraut, brown sugar and applesauce!. Mix well!. Season with the salt and

pepper!. Pour mixture into crock pot and add the browned chops!. Place the onion and water

over chops!. Cover and cook on Low for 6-8 hours!.





Roast Pork with Fruit


Imagine, slow cooker 'n spice aromatherapy and dinner done when you walk in the door after a hectic day!.

Prep: 15 min - Cook: 9 hr

1 medium onion, sliced
1 pork boneless loin roast, 2 pounds
1 package (8 ounces) dried fruit pieces or raisins (1 1/2 cups)
1/2 cup apple juice
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon


1!. Place onion in 4- to 5-quart slow cooker!. Place pork on onion; top with fruit!. Mix remaining ingredients; pour over fruit!.

2!. Cover and cook on low heat setting 7 to 9 hours or until pork is tender!. Serve fruit mixture over pork!.

Makes 8 servings

Substitution: Apple juice enhances the flavors of the dried fruit and pork!. You can also use apricot nectar or orange juice!.

Baked Ham In Foil (crockpot)


Pour 1/2 cup water in crockpot!. Wrap precooked 3-4 lb!. ham in foil;
place in crockpot)!. Cover and cook on high 1 hour, then low 6-7
hours or until ham is hot!. If desired, sprinkle ham with liquid
smoke before wrapping in foil!.

For 5 quart crockpot, if cooking larger ham, cook 1 hour on high then
on low 8-10 hours!.





Crock Pot Honey Ham

20 whole cloves, divided
4 tablespoons honey, divided

Instructions:
Stick the whole cloves into the ham!. Drizzle the honey over the

Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff


1 lb!. cubed beef stew meat
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 Tbs!. Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup water
4 oz!. cream cheese

In a slow cooker, combine all the ingredients except cream cheese!.
Cook on low for eight hours or high for 5 hours!. Stir in cream cheese
before serving over cooked noodles or mashed potatoes




Zesty Italian Pot Roast

Ready In: > 5 hrs

Ingredients:
2 1/2 pounds beef bottom round roast

Shipwreck stew
3 med potatoes washed and diced
1cup chopped onions
1 cut celery chopped
1 can red kidney beans drained
1 can pinto beans drained
1-2 pounds of beef cubes bite sized (cut up small round steak)
1-2 cups of leftover vegetables (corn, green beans, etc!.)
1 can of tomato soup
1 can of water
Layer the crock pot with the above ingredients in the order they are given!. Pour tomato soup over the top of uncooked beef then add a can of water!. Put crock pot on high and allow to cook for about 6 hours then stir and put on low!. Serve with rolls or biscuits or fresh baked bread!. Serves 8 to 10 people!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Put a beef roast in the crock pot with a package if onion soup mix ans a couple of cups of water!. Put cooker on low and let go for 4 to 6 hours!. Add carrots and potatoes a couple of hours before serving!. Well done tender roast beef with vegetables!.

Any roast not eaten allow to cook for 4 to 5 more hours on low the next day (after you've taken out the carrots and potatoes) with half a cup of the juice!. Meat will become so tender it will flake apart!. Drain any juice off add a bottle of barbecue sauce for loose meat barbecue sandwiches/

Ribs - boil ribs in large pot to the point that the meat starts to peel back from bone!. Pull ribs out of water and place in crock pot with a bottle of barbecue sauce and let cook on low for 3 or 4 hours!. Tender juicy and falling of the bone ribs!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Country Steak With Gravy

1 1/2 lbs boneless top round steak (1/2" thick)
1 (12oz) jar fat-free savory beef gravy
2 tbls tomato paste
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp dried thyme
Cooking spray

Trim fat from steak and cut into 6 equal pieces!. Combine gravy and next 5 ingrediants in a small bowl, stir well!. Layer gravy mixture and steak in crockpot coated with cooking spray!. Begin and end with gravy mixture!. Cover with lid and cook on high setting for 1 hour then reduce to low setting and cook 6-7 hours or until tender!. Heres a few:


Cola Chicken
(Can be fixed in crock pot)

1 family size package chicken wings
2 cup catsup
2 - 12oz!. can cola (pepsi, coke, etc!.)
2- packages McCormicks Buffalo wings seasoning

Put chicken in a non-stick pan!.
Mix together catsup and cola, seasoning…!.pour over chicken!.
Bring to a boil!.
Reduce heat…cover with lid!.!.and cook 45 minutes!.
(turning chicken a few times, while cooking!.!.!.to prevent from
sticking to pan)
Cook until the sauce becomes thick and adheres to the chicken!.

It turns into the most incredible BBQ sauce!. Yummmm!

I used the spices from a MILD (I don't care for "HOT") Buffalo
Wings packet!.!.!.(the kind you get to bake in the oven)!.!.!.!.!.I thought it
was really good!.!.!.!.!.(but you/I can't find a 'bad' way to fix chicken)!.

This recipe is doubled…!.!.for my husband and myself…I use ? the ingredients!.

You can double…the double…!.and more as you like!.


BBQ Ribs

Use the same method (Cola Chicken)…!.leave out McCormicks seasoning!.

Ribs & Chicken wings both good…!.!.and……‘s I m p l e’…!.!.to fix…!!



Mushroom Chicken

4 chicken breast
1 can cream of mushroom soup
water

Mix a can of cream of mushroom soup with can of water!.
Place chicken in crock pot!.
Pour soup over chicken and cook on medium !.!.!.!.4-5 hours!.!.!.!.or until desired doneness!.

Old Settler's Beans

INGREDIENTS:


1/2 lb!. ground beef
1/2 lb!. bacon
1 chopped onion

Brown in skillet and drain excess grease!.

ADD:

16 oz!.can Red Kidney Beans (drained)
24 oz!. can Pork & Beans (drained)
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup dark brown sugar
1/4 cup Catsup
2 TBLS!. Molasses
1/2 tsp!. dry mustard

Mix Thoroughly !

Cook in a crock pot until!.!.!.hot!.!.!.hot!.!.!.hot!

POT ROAST
Your choice of beef or pork(to fit crock-pot)
1 pkg!. dry Ranch dressing mix
1 pkg!. dry Italian dressing mix
1 pkg!. dry Brown Gravy mix
1 cup water
Put beef in pot!.
Mix together all the dry mixes…!.then add water …pour over meat and cover & cook on high 4-6 hours!.
Until meat is tender!.
The first time I made it I didn’t have the Italian Dressing mix…!.so I added a pkg!. of Onion Soup Mix…!.I have to say I liked that better!.
If you use more water you might want to add more Brown Gravy mix…!.to make a thicker sauce!. Was gonna add
potatoes and carrots…but never got around to it!.

"Canned Soup"!.
(My Way!)
Whatever cans of veggies I have, that I like, in cabinet it goes in the pot!.!.!.!.!.along with all the juices in the cans!.
Cook on stove top or Crock pot!.
Enjoy!

Canned:
corn
peas
carrots
gr!.beans (any variety)
lima beans
wax beans
tomato (any variety)
potatoes (whole or sliced!.!.!.or both whatever you like)

You get the idea!.!.!.!.lol!.

"Corny Beanie Weenies!."

Mix one can of good baked beans
We use a good sized can of beans (14-16 ounces, I think) and
get a kind that we like (maybe with brown sugar, onion, and bacon)!.
There are several kinds of good baked beans!.

and a package of Oscar Meier Weiners (all sliced up)!.

with a can of whole kernel corn (drained)

Any way, heat up these three ingredients, and serve with brown bread
(maybe toasted !?) and a glass of milk!.

It doesn't get any easier than this, and is suprisingly good!

1!.)Might put ingredients in a casserole dish and top with corn muffin mix!.
2!.)Use a pound of cooked gr!. beef or ground turkey or cooked Jimmy Dean w/sage sausage or some smoked sausage!.

EASY BEEF STROGANOFF

Ingredients:
3/4 lb lean ground beef
1 jar Heinz HomeStyle Savory Beef Gravy (12 oz Jar)
1 can mushrooms, drained (7 oz can)
1/2 cup sour cream
4-6 cups hot cooked noodles
salt & pepper, to taste

Instructions:
In a medium skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned and thoroughly cooked!. Carefully drain liquids and return to stovetop!. Stir in Gravy and mushrooms, and bring to a simmer, stirring occasionally!. Remove from heat and stir in sour cream, until thoroughly combined!. Add salt and pepper, to taste, and serve immediately over hot noodles!.

I use my crock all the time!. My favorite thing to do is roast beef!. Get a 3-4 lb!. lean beef roast and brown it!. Put it in your crock pot with 1medium onion, 4-5 ribs of celery, 2 medium size carrots, all cut into bite size pieces!. Cover about half way with chicken or beef broth or water!. Then add salt and pepper to taste, minced garlic if you like (1 or 2 cloves), and a bay leaf if you have any!. Cook on low for 6-8 hours or 4-5 on high-depends on your crock pot!. Let the meat stand, covered for about 15 minutes before you slice it!. It will make the roast easier to slice and be more juicy!. You can add potatoes if you want!. I usually do potatoes separately and make gravy from the crockpot juices so we can have mashed potaoes and gravy!. Then, here's a dessert I found on Recipezaar!.com!. Yummy!

Crockpot Chocolate Mud Cake

Ingredients
1 cup flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
6 tablespoons butter
2 ounces semisweet chocolate or chocolate chips
1 cup sugar, divided
3 tablespoons Dutch-processed cocoa powder, plus
1/3 cup Dutch-processed cocoa powder
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup milk
1 egg yolk
1/3 cup brown sugar
1 1/2 cups hot water
whipped cream or ice cream
Directions
1Coat the inside of a 2 ? quart to 5 quart slow cooker or crock pot with cooking spray!.
2(Note: the cake’s cooking time and final appearance will vary depending on your crock’s size!.) Whisk together the flour and baking powder in a medium bowl and set aside!.
3In a large bowl, melt the butter and chocolate in the microwave or over a pan of simmering water and mix well!.
4Whisk in the 2/3 cup of sugar, 3 T!.
5of cocoa, vanilla, salt, milk, and egg yolk!.
6Add the flour mixture and stir until thoroughly mixed!.
7Pour the batter into the slow cooker and spread it evenly!.
8In a medium bowl, whisk together the remaining sugar, cocoa and hot water until the sugar is dissolved!.
9Pour the mixture over the batter in the slow cooker!.
10Cover and cook on high for 1 ? to 2 ? hours, depending on size of the crock pot!.
11Even when done, the cake will be very moist and floating on a layer of molten chocolate, but you will know it is ready when nearly all of the cake is set and the edges begin to pull away from the sides of the pot!.
12(As you check, try not to let the condensed steam from the lid, drip on the cake!.) When it is done, turn off the power and remove the lid!.
13Let it cool for 25 minutes, then serve it in bowls topped with whipped cream or ice cream!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
