How long does it take for rice krispie treats to cool after being poured?!

Question: How long does it take for rice krispie treats to cool after being poured!?
This may sound like a dumb question but I've never made them before and want to manage my time around the baking I'm doing today!. I'm making them chocolate dipped so I need to know how long will it take before I can cut them into squares and dip them without making a huge gooey mess out of it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

20-30 minutes to get completely coolWww@FoodAQ@Com

I make them often too!. What I like to do is wait 20 minutes, then turn the pan upside down QUICKLY and slam it on a cutting board!. Then wait another 30 minutes!. Then it's fun to cut them into triangles with a big knife(and easier to do than trying to cut them while in the pan)!. Then I think it would be ok to dip them!. You may want to place the bars uncut but on a board into the freezer for about 30 minutes-summer can be a hard time to dip!Www@FoodAQ@Com

HINT: Put them in the freezer- then wait 30 minutes - Cut with a large knife, - they will be very firm , to help with dipping in the chocolate- let place them in the refrigerator for 1 hour to set the chocolate!. Then they will be ready to serve!. If you ever make them w/o the choclate - just sit them in thefreezer for the 30 minutes and enjoy!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It cools down real fast thats why you have to work in into the pan fast!. I would wait for 30 min atleast before dipping themWww@FoodAQ@Com

Mine usually takes bout 6 weeks to coolWww@FoodAQ@Com

Just a few mins!. I can't ever wait!.!.!.and I cut out a piece right after patting it down into the pan!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
