Question: I made a cupcake that tastes pretty good!. However, it is a little dry!.!.!. what can I do to make it more moist!?!?
Answers:
You have several options:

1!. Remove the cupcake from the paper baking liner cups!. Split the cupcake in half (so there is a top and bottom)!. Fill the middle with a moist filling like pastry cream, whipped cream or even pudding!. Top it with the other half of the cupcake!. Frost with icing!.

2!. Poke holes in the top of the cupcake and let some liquid seep through!. Depending on the type of cupcake flavor, you can use fruit juice mixed with a bit of powdered sugar or some simple syrup (one cup of sugar boiled with one cup of water and cooled)!. You can use some jello powder mixed with hot water, too!. Brush it on!. Let the cupcake absorb some of the liquid and then top with frosting!.

3!. Just brush on some simple syrup over the top without poking holes!.

4!. Split the cupcake and fill the center with some fresh sliced fruit that has been tossed with some sugar!. Mix the sliced fruit with some sugar and let some of the fruit juices come out!. Pile on the cupcake!. Top with the other half and top again with whipped cream for a cupcake shortcake!. Some good fruits to try are strawberries, peaches, berries!.!.!.You can use some canned peaches or pears!. Even apple pie filling!.

And if you don't want whipped cream or frosting, sprinkle the whole concoction with powered sugar!.

Are you talking about your current batch of cupcakes or future ones!? Here are some ideas to liven up the ones you made:

1!. Before frosting, create a sugar syrup and brush the cakes with it several times, allowing time to absorb!.
2!. Fill the cakes by taking your favorite cream filling and piping it into the middle of each cupcake from the bottom so that you have a Hostess Cupcake effect!.
3!. Poke holes in each cupcake and saturate with a mixture of sweetened condensed milk, canned milk, and heavy cream for a dulce la leche effect!.
4!. Split each cake and fill with pudding and sliced fresh fruit!.

For future batches, don't bake as long and check your oven temperature to make sure its not too hot!. Adding sour cream or even applesauce to a recipe will provide you with moist cake as well!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Add mayonnaise to any cupcake recipe- or add small pudding mix!. Mayo won't taste in your cake and works every time:

Chocolate cupcake

2 cups flour
2/3 cup cocoa
11/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
12/3 cups sugar
4 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup whole mayonnaise
11/3 cups water

Mix first 4 ingredients!. Set aside!. In large bowl with mixer at high speed, beat next 3 ingredients 3 minutes or until light and fluffy!. At low speed, beat in mayo!. Add flour in 4 additions alternately with water!. Pour into paper lined cupcake tins!. Bake at 350 for 15-20 minutes!. ( check them around 15 minutes as all ovens are different)!.

Chocolate fosting

Heat 2 cups heavy cream in a saucepan until almost boiling(don't let it come to a boil)!. Add 4 cups chocolate chips!. Stir until chocolate is melted!. Add 2 teaspoons vanilla!. Stir and chill in fridge for about an hour or until hardened!. Beat on high speed until light and fluffy!. Frost cupcakes and enjoy!Www@FoodAQ@Com

- Use recipes made specifically for cupcakes!.
- Do not overbake!. If the recipes says bake for 10-15 minutes, start checking at 10 minutes!. Use the toothpick test!. If the toothpick comes out with moist crumbs (NOT batter) then it's done!.
- Frosting can hide a multitude of sins!.
- Ditto with fillings!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I don't know what recipe you used, but you can try adding some milk and more butter (or oil)!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Fat-free plain yogurt instead of milk-just add about 2 tablespoons!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Put a big scoop of ice cream on top of them YUMWww@FoodAQ@Com

add a little oil into the mix before u bakeWww@FoodAQ@Com
