How to make a victoria sponge cake?!


Question: How to make a victoria sponge cake!?
I'd only like to make the sponge, no fillings, how can i do it without going wrong!?

hmm!.!.!.!.!. all i can do is give you what my school recipe book says for victoria sandwhich:

?150g/6oz caster sugar
?150g/6oz margerine
?150g/6z Self Raising flour
?3 eggs
?1 level teaspoon oif baking powder
?icing sugar for top!. (not to go in mix)

?Grease sandwhich/baking tin thingys!.!.!.
?Caster sugar, marg!. , flour, eggs, baking powder all go into mixing bowl
?beat with mixer until light and creamy
?pour into cake tins
?Bake 30 min (approx) When cooked, the cake should be golden brown and shrink away from edges of tin (not much), and be a bit springy to the touch!.
?Get out of cake tins and leave to cool
?Put filling in (or don't) and put one half on top of other
?Dust icing sugar on top!.
