Strawberry shortcakes!. You can make them with split biscuits, sliced pound cake, or those little shortcake cups you find at the store!. Buy enough strawberries to feed the number of guests you plan on having (I usually figure one or two containers for every 4-6 people), whipped topping, and make sure you have lots of sugar!. Wash the strawberries and slice them into a bowl that's big enough that you will be able to stir them around easily!. Save any bruised or otherwise ugly ones out and mash them to help your syrup along!. After you have all the slices and mashed strawberries in your bowl, start by adding a quarter cup of sugar and folding it into the strawberries!. Let them sit in the fridge under some plastic wrap for a few hours, then check on and taste them!. If they're nice and sweet and syrup is forming, then just stir them and let them be!. If they're not sweet enough for you, stir in a few more tablespoons of sugar and taste them again later!. This all can be done the day before!. Take the strawberries out of the fridge before your cookout to take the chill off, then serve on top of your biscuit or cake topped with a bit of whipped topping!. Enjoy!Www@FoodAQ@Com

I am not sure if it will be really hot where you are serving, but a nice summer dessert is to get an angel food cake, slice off the top and make a little moat down the center of the round, then fill the tunnel with chocolate cool whip!. The extra benefit is that you get to eat the cake carved from the tunnel!
If that would melt then maybe just a plate with an assortment of fruit and butter cookies would be easy!. Grapes and Strawberries and cherries!.!.!.nothing too wet if you are putting the fruit and cookies on one plate!. If you have a pedestal you could put the cookies on the bottom and the fruit up on the higher part!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Make a fruit salad, you can let go your imagination!.
Press oranges and put any fresh fruit ,apple, pear, banana, ananas, mangos, cherries (in short, any fruit) you may have or like in it (in small pieces of course) then you taste, maybe you'll have to add a little sugar!. I add always the juice of a half lemon!. Some people put a little bit of Kirsch in it but personally I don't like it!. Once you have mixed all the ingredients, leave it at least one hour in the refrigerator!. You can prepare it beforehand, It remains fresh and tasty several days in the fridge - the taste is the best if it stays one day!.
Don't put too much orange juice, the other fruit do not have to swim in it and don't forget to stir the whole thing gently from time to time!.

I think a good dessert to make would be an angel food cake with a berry topping!. You can make a berry topping by taking fresh berries and mixing them with a little sugar, just enough to draw out some juice!. Or you can buy some frozen berries and just thaw them out!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
