You've been letting him get away with this for too long!. If he won't knowlingly eat vegetables, then it's time to get sneaky!. Obviously, he's not going to ask for steamed green beans one day, so try a few different dishes and see if he notices the veggies!. (Most of these links are for sneaking veggies to children, but face it: he is being childish)

p!.s!. there is a cookbook called the Sneaky Chef by Jessica Seinfeld, but you don't want to get caught with that in the houseWww@FoodAQ@Com

You probably aren't going to win this battle, so perhaps you can compromise by having a side that he likes and make one that you like for yourself!. Picky eaters are a pain in the butt, but you have to pick your battles! If you enjoy cooking, then plan your meals around something nutrious for yourself and basic for him!. Here are some ideas:

1!. Pork roast cooked with Saurkraut (mix brown sugar and chopped apple with the saurkraut); served over mashed potatos and a side of fresh green beans!. (give him sliced meat over potatos, skip the saurkraut and green beans)
2!. Grilled ribeye steaks with baked potatos and fresh asparagas!. Serve his steak with oven baked fries while you bake your own potato!. Enjoy the asparagas!
3!. Roasted stuffed chicken with peas: Stuff your chicken with rice-a-roni and serve with green peas and gravey!. If you want potatos, make some of the instant ones for yourself!. Open a can of creamed corn for him!.
4!. Pork Chops and Mac and Cheese Casserole: using 4-6 bone-in thin chops, season with seasoned salt and pepper!. Heat oil in skillet until it shimmers and brown the chops!. While the chops are searing, make packaged mac and cheese according to the directions and add 1 3oz package of cream cheese to the mix!. Place mac and cheese in baking dish and top with browned chops!. In hot skillet, saute one yellow onion that has been sliced into rings!. Cook until carmelized and place a small amount on top of each chop (skip his)!. Cover and bake for 45 minutes or until bubbling!. Serve with your favorite salad!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I have a thing about cooking different meals for each family member!.!.!.!.I'm not a short order cook!. If he wants to cook his same old potato, show him how to throw it in the microwave or have him do his own mac n cheese!. Other then that, prepare things that YOU like once in a while with a heads-up to him that he may want to make his own sides!. Maybe eventually he'll try what you have!. Or you could just get a new husband! ;PWww@FoodAQ@Com

If you are in Malaysia it is not very bad situation, most of Malaysian men are like that(so picky), you just cook what he likes and cook what you like, small portion , just enough for one person, if you are not a good cook, go and buy cook book, there are plenty in book shop, and raw food in Malaysia still cheap, good luckWww@FoodAQ@Com
