Have you eaten venison before, if you did, which country and how it tasted?!
Answers:
I've had my Venison out in Twin Falls, Idaho!. It was REALLY good!. People always complain about a "gamy" taste, but I feel that food has its own individual characteristics and should be appreciated for what they are!.
A thick textured soup with venison *almost like a gravy* is my personal fav!. Keep the veggies simple to carrots, potatoes, and celery!.

Omg you know what!? Vension sausages were on special at the supermarket and I didn't know that Vension was deer meat (I thought it was just a type of beef sausage) and so I bought some, cooked them and ate them and noticed that it tasted like beef, except leaner and that there wasn't as much fat coming out of the sausages and so anyway, did my research and found out it was deer meat!. Now everytime I look at them at the supermarket I can't help but shudder because I keep thinking about deers! lol!. This was in New Zealand!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
I've eaten it!.!.!. I've eaten it from both Michigan and Ontario, and I've tried it as steaks, roasts and stews!.!.!. I find it has a very 'gamey' taste, which some people love, and some people hate!.!.!.
I personally say that, as far as game goes, venison is not as good as moose-meat, but that's just my opinion!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I ate it years ago, when my husband still hunted!. It tastes much like beef!. I have never had the deer raised for market so I can't say!. A neighbor showed me how to pack the venison in an ice chest with ice, draining it and replacing the ice twice a day for three days and then packaging and freezing and it was great!. These days we just hunt down bargains at the grocery store!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
USA!.!.!.we ate it often when we lived in Iowa, as sausage, ground like beef for different meals, as steaks and roasts, and jerky we make at home as well!. It has a somewhat gamey flavor, but brining can help remove some of that if you don't like it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Ate it last year, for Canada day, July 1st, we stuffed a whole pig with a venison roast, a turkey and barbequed it all day long!. It was really good!. I don't generally like wild game, but this was good!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Sure, we eat it a lot in the south here in the U!.S!. It is one of the healthiest meats you can eat, almost no fat at all!. You do however need to find some good recipes on how to cook it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
yup in the USA, some people eat it grilled, I have only had it in Brunswick stew, I LOVE that, but not into the gamey flavor so I don't eat the steaks, but hubby likes themWww@FoodAQ@Com
