Step2
Beat the butter until creamy, then add the sugars and vanilla and stir them in until combined!.
Step3
Add the egg and yolk one at a time, mixing well after each addition!.
Step4
Stir in flour mixture!. Stop stirring the instant it has all been incorporated!.
Step5
Stir in chocolate chips, making sure to distribute them evenly!.
Step6
Form dough in a log, wrap it and chill it for at least 30 minutes!.
Step7
Heat the oven to 350 degrees and line some cookie sheets with baking parchment!.

When your making cookies there is not really a time!.!.!. they are done when you can smell them!. Stick close to the kitchen while they are baking and as soon as you can smell them pull them out if they look a little under cooked thats fine the heat from the cookie sheet will finish cooking them!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Use Crisco instead of whatever other shortening that you're using!. Get a cheap ($1-$2) oven thermometer and keep it in your oven!. It sounds like your oven is baking too high !.!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

take the cookies out when they are JUST turning brown!.!.they wil finish cooking as they cool and will be softer or also try adding a tad bit more butter and a littleee less butterWww@FoodAQ@Com

take them out like 2 mins before you usually do and they will continue to cook a little on the cookie sheet!. I used to have the same problemWww@FoodAQ@Com

Stop overcooking them!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
