I was following a recipe for a Triple-Tier Chocolate Cake when I decided to halve all the ingredients due to the immense theoretical yield!.

Halved everything but forgot to halve the number of eggs!. Used 4 of them instead of 2!.

That resulted in an extremely dense cake that refused to come out of the pan!. I had to eventually cut the pieces out, press them together to make it look like a cake!.

I quickly whipped up some chocolate icing that i let drip all over the cake liberally which hid all the mistakes i made!.

With all the oohs and aahs from the family, i cut them all a piece and let them sample it!. When they did realise that it was too dense, i told them that it was more like a pound cake and they bought it! =)
