In smaller bowl, beat the egg yolk (you will need to separate the egg) together with sweet honey and buttermilk until it is all blended together, next add the contents of the small bowl to your flour mixture in the larger bowl, blending lightly just until the mixture sticks together!.

With floured hands, carefully shape the dough into flattened ball-like shape and roll out onto a floured surface!. I am not familiar with Paneras version, here in Canada, I buy a cinnmon chips made with brown sugar and cinnimon, you can make them similar to cinnimon buns by rolling the dough out making a mix of marg/butter, sugar (white or brown) and cinnimon, then roll them like buns cut and make them on a sheet pan, close enough so they rise up not out!.

The cinnimon chips are easier as you just make the dough, roll or press it out and then cut to your desire, with a cutter or trianle shaped, baked at 350 d F for 20-30 minute depending on your oven and size of the scones, I like the english cream recipe, lighter and flaky is my preference!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
