Has anyone chilled their cole slaw overnight? Did it get soggy or stay crispy?!

Question: Has anyone chilled their cole slaw overnight!? Did it get soggy or stay crispy!?
I am going to make a nice big cole slaw tomorrow for a picnic and I was wondering if I were to make it tonight and put it in the fridge, if it would stay crispy or get soggy!. Any one know how it will turn out!? Thanks!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
yes it will stay crisp!. just make sure you cover it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I make it all the time and it does stay good overnight in the refrigerator, in fact it tastes better the next day after the flavor and the seasonings mingle!. There are two types of coleslaw!. I like to make the creamy one, but there is a more vinegar/pickled type that lasts even longer--up to three weeks in an airtight container or jar!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It may get soggy!. If you are worried about it getting soggy, go ahead and chop all your cabbage and veggies and combine, then mix up all the other "dressing" ingredients!. Refrigerate them separately and then all you have to do tomorrow before the picnic is combine the two!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Well, I only make it with red cabbage, and it really needs to sit for a while to taste fabulous!. So, red cabbage is a go, for sure!. Oh, as far as crispiness: semi-crispy!. But I do a vinegar and oil thing!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

i like it better if i make it the night before!. the flavors blend and it becomes more flavorful!. never had it become soggy!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

If your coleslaw is cabbage based, it should be fine!. But you can also put it together first thing in the morning and chill until serving time!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

if u put it in the fridge it will get soggy!. if u put it in the freezer it will stay crispy!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I often make it a day ahead, tastes better!.!.!.wont get soggy!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
