I've been cooking professionally for 24 years and even went to culinary school!. I made lots of mistakes where food just tasted bad or horrible!. but, its all a learning experience!. if you dont make mistakes in anything you do you are not learning!. saying otherwise is ignorant and foolish!. dont worry you will be fine!.

Im also writing my 3rd cook book and in the process of writing and devloping new recipes make mistakes and food that doesnt taste good or just not good enough for the cook book!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Of course!.!. because a great chef and/or cook loves to experiment in the kitchen and not everything turns out perfect!. Whoever tells you that they never created an un-tasty meal is lying! I'm a trained chef and I actually co-own two diners!. I've experimented with dishes in my home-kitchen to prepare the menu for those diners! Some things turned out amazing and were then added to the menu!.!. and for the things that didn't turn out so well!.!. well, they were experiments! Things that I've tried!Www@FoodAQ@Com

yeah ofcourse!. sometimes they try and be too ambitious with a dish and experiment with flavours and techniques, and ofcourse it doesn't always work out!. they're only human!.
and again, sometimes a good chef will try a bad recipe, or follow bad directions!.
it's all part of the learning process!. no chef knows it all!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Of course they do!. All chefs have their off days!. Really great chefs probably have very few bad dishes, but like the saying "beauty is in the eye of the beholder", if something tastes good depends on who's eating it!. A chef can think their dish is fantastic, but not all people are going to enjoy it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Absolutely! It's all part of the fun!

It's great when you make a dish and it doesn't work out to tweak it to your liking or figure out why the dish went wrong!. It isn't so great when you are on a time schedule!.!.!.but I take every mistake and learn from it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

i am sure they do, probably thousands that's how they learn to be good chefs, by practising till its perfectWww@FoodAQ@Com

i think good chefs are pretty much perfect :) lolWww@FoodAQ@Com
