How do you remove the gas when cooking a pot of beans?!


Question: How do you remove the gas when cooking a pot of beans!?
I've heard cook it with a carrot or a potatoe in them and also bay leafs, but neither seem to work very well!.

Definitely soak them!. It helps break down the fibers that are indigestible and cause gas!.

also, I love my pressure cooker!. Cooking them afterward with pressure just breaks them down even more!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

dry beans + hot water- soak overnight!.
Drain out water
Keep the beans in the colander for another 24 hours or so and rinse them every 4-6 hours to keep them damp!. This is how they would start sprouting in a few days!. Cook after 24 hours or let them sprout for another day!. Then cook!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

you just have to soak the dry beans in water for a day!. !. !. replacing water around 3-4 times!. !. !. skim off the scum when cooking!. !. !.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Buy some Beano at the Pharmacy and take it prior to eating!.
Sometimes a flatulance contest is fun in a outdoor setting like camping-separate tents though please!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
